This is my 2003 Tundra T3 that I got as my first truck. It has a 3 inch gamburg lift, TRD exaust, train horns, 10'' sub, atoto stereo, TRD wheels with 31 BF Goodrich KO3s, RKI toolbox, Westin front bumper and side steps, LED pod lights, and rock lights. Anything I should do, or could've done better on?

How are the LBJs and the TB? Truck looks good. I would just hate to see it looking good on the side of the road. Read THIS if you haven't already.

I’d be worried about that damage multiplier hurting that rare grille.

Thanks for sending that post. I will do a deep dive when I have time. The LBJs are dialed. I am the 2nd owner, and I got it when it had 93,000 miles on it. Thanks for the tip!

Sweet ride and I would have killed for one like it at your age. If you like it, then rock it. But as mentioned, be sure not to neglect important maintenance items. Timing belt can break and lock your motor up. LBJs can fail and your wheel will try to eat your fender and potentially put your truck into a ditch, another car, a wall, or worse.

    Shooting it straight?

    Get some 285/70r17's
    Underglow/rock lights are

ditch the grill thing. It's shit in every way possible.
I'm partial to smoked headlights, buts that's just personal. Your headlights look crystal. So ehh.
    Get some new fogs.

    And what's a "gamburg" lift?

So is deleting your rear bumper and then running into something wishing you had a bumper :boink:

Love the honesty brotha!! I think it is apart of my 18yo "de-gen" stage lol. Definitely will have to keep the bumper because I have already hit one deer, and gotten close to many. The first pic is after the hit deer incident, so I came out ahead on that deal.

Hey, as long as you know about the main killers of our trucks, like avoiding aftermarket LBJs, and you keep up with maintenance, you can put whatever unicorn-fart-colored underlighting you want on your truck!

You're one of three or four posters I've seen on here with the T3 edition. One of two in Texas I'm aware of. It looks good. I'm not a fan of black on black on black on black on black, I think gunmetal or smoked stuff looks awesome on black trucks. But your truck is an expression of you, so you do you.

Read that thread linked above sooner than later. It should only take 5-10 minutes and it's going to save you a world of hurt and pain. We worked as a community to build that info up for members just like you who may not be aware of some pretty critical stuff. You can also find documentation, service manuals, wiring diagrams, part finding tools, and all kinds of other stuff that'll save you time and money.

    Welcome to the forum!

I guess for me, it kind of defeats the point of having a rarer version of something and then blinging it out so that it is no longer that rare version. But your truck, your choice. Also, train horns are not really OK in Texas. 'Unreasonably loud' is the language in the statute. Not even going to mention the ground effect lights....... :)

ETA - Sorry, Welcome! A lot of good info to be found here.

Not a fan of those pinkish purple lights but agree with Mamba and Shifty.

Great truck not so good of a movie (Terminator 3).

Keep your fluids changed, stay up on your maintenance and that 4.7L V8 will last forever. Based on how old you look at about the same age I had a 2000 Tacoma TRD Off Road Access Cab 3.4L V6 5-speed manual dream truck. I loved it and it did me well until just over 301,500 miles she gave up the ghost. I bought a 2021 Tundra TRD Pro double cab brand new and that's my daily driver now. The 4.7L is the best motor Toyota made outside of the legendary Lexus 4.0L V8 so be good to her and she'll be good to you.

Very nice T3. How's your grill hanging on? My T3 emblem fell off and the grill was about to fall off, so I had to replace it with a regular grill. One day I'll fix it. My T3 bedside decals were missing when I bought my truck. I swapped the dash lights to red LEDs and lowered mine.

If you're referring to the bull bar in front, I can assure you, it won't save you from deer.

First thing I removed from my T3 was the bullbar, literally as soon as I got it home.
