Yes I test fitted a bare wheel on the front. It fits. It’s close but it fits. I didn’t think it would be a problem since I had Rockwarrior for 8 years before my 2018 and that came with 17’s.

Hi Sumo, have you driven on either the Bilstein or Fox Pro suspension? Wondering how similar the 8112s are.

The front of my truck rides great, but the rear is stiff from the dobinson leaf springs.

A stock pro rides better than my truck simply because of the upgrades and mods I have. Poly bushings in the UCA/LCA, 350lbs of armor, E rated tires, 3.25in of lift in front, 2.1in in the rear.

I don't think anyone here has. I was going to, but they took to long to send them out and I needed my truck on the road so I overnighted the bilsteins. I'm pretty sure they'll work.

Did you get it all installed? How do you like the TRD pro suspension? Got any pics of the side and from the front with the poke?

i was thinking about the method 17 701’s but thought they might stick out too much with that 0 offset.

Yes all installed. They do stick out but look great. I love the suspension. It feels solid but much more road compliant. Soaks up pot holes like they are not there. Have not taken it off road yet.

Anyone know if 8112s would work with ICON billet delta joint UCAs, or would they rub the reservoir hose?

Sure would've been nice if Bilstein had posted a comprehensive list... I wonder why the Total Chaos UCAs don't clear.

You can probably shoot then an email and they might tell you. It'd be worth a shot. I'm running bilstein UCAs.

They don't have a comprehensive list but Bilstein does say this.

"Note: These dampers must be installed with aftermarket upper control arms. The OEM upper control arms will contact the reservoir hose, potentially causing damage. Please install with Bilstein Upper Control Arms, part # 51-304706. Dirt King and Built Right Fab upper control arms work with these dampers as well as Camburg upper control arms when the dampers are at the highest ride height setting. Total Chaos arms do not clear the hose and are not recommended."

Yup I read your post #11 and found the doc online, hence me pondering why Total Chaos wouldn't fit. My guess is that every tubular UCA is fine, but square shaped plate steel or billet milled into a square shape are not fine? Square hole round peg kind of thing. Haven't taken the time to reach out to any manufacturer as I'm leaning towards just matching the Bilstein B8 UCA to the 8112.

Separate question: would 8100s in rear work well with an extended travel ICON RXT leaf, versus the stock leaf + shackle? If the rear end is capable of drooping farther than the shock can extend... the 8100's rebound cutoff would do its magic and prevent hard top outs right?

    8100 rear collapsed/extended length = 15.75" / 25.88" = 10.13" of travel
    5100 rear collapsed/extended length 15.33" / 24.8" = 9.47" of travel
ICON RXT rear shock collapsed/extended length = 16.3" / 28.25" = 11.95" of travel *** RXT bottom attachment point is offset lower than a stock shock***

8112 up front with 5160 in the back is like skipping leg day lol

just be aware for the mismatch and don’t drive past the capability of the lowest denominator

@Sumo91 was your allignment shop able to get good caster/camber out of those Bilstein UCAs?
Also, how close are your tires to UCAs?

I got a set of 8112/8100s on order, looking at UCA options. Bilstein didn't publish recommended rim backspacing maximums for their UCA. Called them and no help there. I'm looking to use some method 17x8.5 +35mm which is 6.2" backspacing. Some other UCAs specifically list 5.75" backspacing maximum.

    285/75r17 +35mm would sit 0.19" closer to UCA than your 295/70r18 +25

I believe I have plenty of clearance, ill have to check it out. My rims are +12 (?) Offset, they stick out an inch or two. My tires have a very aggressive sidewall as well, that probably sticks out another 1/2in or so.

Here are some pictures I have that might show the offset a little betterScreenshot_20220427-225528_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20220427-225458_Gallery.jpg

Going with the same setup, my 8112s showed up today and I have a May 11th install date. I am being told the 8100s are backordered but I have no guarantee of delivery. The shop I'm working with has 5160s in stock so if the 8100s don't show up before I'll just get 5160s on the back. Also any disappointment with running 5160s in the rear with 8112s up front?

Anyone know if SPC UCAs work with the 8112s?

It ain't the coils ya gotta worry about it's the knuckle on your spindle. If you're stock then you're good, but certain Readylift spindles are incompatible with SPCs

Already have 13k on them and tons and tons of towing and off roading. Only did 1 tire rotation so far (been busy) but they're wearing evenly. I love these tires

How high do you have the front set at @SoJersey ? You're running the 8112's with the JBA UCA's?

Any others installed the 8XXX setup since the posts in 2022?
