I went to that link and input my VIN. Pressed Go and nothing happened. Tried just inputting my make, year and "with navigation" (i.e. no VIN) and received a file dated September 8, 2017 "13TDANNA-DA11_0146.kwi". From another thread, I found that the most up-to-date firmware for my truck is actually "13TDANNA-DA11_0164.kwi"
Thanks for providing the official Toyota link @justcuz but it appears that Toyota serves old updates at that page (at least for my year model truck).

First and foremost, I am NOT tech savvy!! I have tried to update my software to no avail. I downloaded the update provided by the Toyota site using my VIN number onto a flash drive. File name is 13TDDANA-DA10_0010.kwi When I click on update on my radio, the next screen doesn’t allow me to update it. It’s as if there’s nothing on the drive or my radio doesn’t recognize it. Any help would be appreciated. I’m tired of dropping calls!! I have the non JBL head unit. Thank You!

Sorry to revive an old thread.
My 21 sr5 non nav Canadian head unit is currently audio only and 1021.
When I use the provided link for Canadian update, it tells me there is no current update for my truck.

So…if I download the update that is provided on this thread, will it A) just not recognize it on the USB or B) load but cause issues?

im hesitant only because I’ve spent the last three weeks dealing with the idiots at Toyota about my remote connect app not working at all, after working fine for a year. I’m tired of dealing with their support people reading from cards.

also, any chance one of these updates will fix my random loss/freeze up of radio while iPhone is plugged in?
Screen freezes, music stops, screen goes black and then does a reboot.

    thanks!

Said screw it and gave it a shot, formatted the usb stick Fat32, downloaded the file.
In the truck I just get a message of “the gracenote database could not be read. Please check the USB flash drive”

    my current version is 01806.

does this mean I’m stuck with 1021?

Having similar issues @Kamyoda17. While making calls through the HU with wired apple carplay it is extremely choppy, and once I hang up the HU shows the call is still active for about a min. Have also had the HU black out and reboot. Just to clarify I have the 21' SRD with stock HU.

Also having the TPWS malfunction coming on after driving for a while. All tire pressures are normal, unsure if it is related or a coincidence.

Will advise with any future outcomes.

I was also experiencing issues with phone calls having choppy audio on CarPlay. And also the head unit freezing upon ending the call and then rebooting itself. My truck is a 2021 Limited with nav and JBL. A firmware update fixed all of this just now.

    Model ID DCU 17TDT2NA-DA30
    Audio version was 1035
I went to the Toyota Software Update website, entered my trucks info and downloaded the firmware update file (17TDT2NA-DA30_0066.kwi)
Followed the instructions, and now I am on audio version 1162 (edit: adding that Toyota says this update was released on Feb 10, 2022).
    No more phone call issues.
