2020 Remote start

I picked up mine early january, and it has worked for the most part. I do think the process is rather clunky.

Anyone figure out a way to keep the dang thing from shutting down when opening the door? While I can sort of get behind some of the 'why' I've read, It still feels like double duty on the starter and electrical system to start the stupid thing twice. My only legitimate reason for remote start is hot and cold days. The rest of the time its more superfluous.

 

You get more than just keyfob start. The app will start and you can set the valet mode, lock doors and whatnot. But if you don't use any of that then yeah...sorry.

 

I tried the remote start the other day and it didn't work. Guess they have updated their terms of service maybe?

How? I think all manufacturers limit to 10 min. My Nissan Altima 3.5SL had remote start good for two times at 10 min each. Probably don't want someone filling their garage with lethal CO.

 

Magnetic Grey Metallic, its a color choice, I love voodoo blue, as blue is my favorite color. I think the truck looks much better in MGM than blue though.

Believe it or not it wasn’t in there! Or at least I couldn’t find it! I think I remember reading on here that it was in Canadian owner’s manuals but not US.

 

Matter of taste, I'd rather have red, but it wasn't available. Too many people like black and other dark colors.
