I have a 2005 tundra base/regular/single cab and for the life of me I cannot find black housing headlights for my truck. The only ones I can find are for the crew cabs/sr5 and other things related. If you know where to find any or send me and links of ones that fit for a single cab please send it.
Example of something around what I’d like to find:

You have a regular cab or RC. Access cab or AC will fit your truck. Double cab or DC (with four REAL doors) might or might not.

    DC absolutely won't fit.

Yeah I had absolutely no problem finding black housing lights for the access/regular cab. In fact, I have to send a set back because I didn't do enough research before ordering them and didn't realize they wouldn't fit my 2001 DC. Has anyone found a (hopefully quality) set of black housing lights for the pre-2005 DC? I'm really struggling.

There is no 2001 DC. The DC debuted in 2004. What do you have exactly?

Oh really? I guess I have the access cab then. It has the "suicide doors". All this time I thought that was the double cab.

You have the Access cab then sir. The “double cab” for 2004-2006 is the full 4 doors version. They changed the naming starting in 2007 just to confuse the shit out of everyone

I guess you didn't do what every Tundra owner should do, and read the community info thread containing everything you need to know about your truck.

Bookmark it. Use it as your first reference before asking questions. We've spent 2+ years updating it, refining it, packing it full of everything you and any other owner needs to know.

I did, actually. And I do have it bookmarked, thanks. Tons of amazing info in there. So much that I didn't read it top to bottom, instead only reading the sections pertaining to what I need to know. I just skipped over that part because I thought I already knew what cab I had. In my mind, four doors = double cab. That's what it meant with the Tacoma. I had an "extra cab" Tacoma, which I figured was the same thing as access cab. Now I know. Very sorry to have wasted anyone's time.

No time wasted! Everyone here is happy to help. You may need to expect a little ribbing here or there if you miss something though. It’s meant with love ;)
