I could've sworn you have mentioned they were both alive before... but who am I to argue that? I'll argue with a brick wall, but some things are sacred.

Tried talking grandpa into plate bumpers again today. No dice. Even found some that didnt look like jeep-bro-trash with holes for the parking sensors.

Yea, he wants a new plastic bumper & ricer taillights. Even though he also wants a light up 'whip' so he can tell which of the hundreds of silver tacomas in any given parking lot is his. Yes, he's tried to unlock the wrong truck more than once.

So alternator is about to take a poop on me (the gauge keeps dropping unless I'm driving)
I currently have the 130a since my truck came w/ the tow package.

but RA only has the 100a from Denso.

would I notice much of a difference between the 2??

I do have some accessories (sub, some aux lights)

I noticed a difference. When my factory one caught fire on the way to work, and I had to leave town the next day/day after, I left it with the only shop I trust with my wife's car once in a blue moon because I had to leave town. I told them to put the biggest Denso alternator they could get into it, before I knew it had a 130A. I had just gotten the truck a couple weeks prior and wasn't savvy about the different sizes and what mine had. Anyway, they put the 100A in instead of the 130A. I noticed the ammeter needle was way more all over the place, and posted a video on here of it fluctuating while it was raining out, halogen headlights on, wipers on, radio on, and holding the brake lights. That nonsense toned down quite a bit once I replaced with Denso 130A.

EDIT: And that was before I added any major accessories or anything. I'm waiting for Denso to get the 150A back in stock, I'm buying one and dropping it on the shelf until I get around to it.

    HELL FUCKIN YEAH

Sorry, I got a lil excited there.

I've been working on cleaning the shop and setting up some new tooling. The tube bender and tube roller both have some nice carts now. The cold cut saw is finally getting its own cart. I've got some upgrades to the plasma table that I've been putting off that are on the list for this week, and I think that I have myself talked into a 4'x8' welding/jig table.

All that to say the shop is more capable than ever, and I'm pumped to build some cool shit.

    Come by sometime!

and just to make sure; since my truck came with the 130a; the 150a should be a drop in application? Or would it be advised to get larger gauge wires?

150A is technically a bolt in affair for our later-year trucks, see the 'big 3' thread if you need more details: https://www.tundras.com/threads/04-sequoia’s-150-amp-alternator-swap-on-a-00-tundra-the-3-big-upgrades.67222/

But you'll pay around $50 (~20%) less for the 130A. Serra isn't showing a discount from the MSRP shown, so your local dealer is probably same price as theirs, so this may be an easy choice to buy online and pickup locally.

There's a $75 core, so either of these prices would be -$75 if you return a good Denso core to a local dealer, i.e. roughly $225 for 130A or $285 for the 130A, and they *WILL* have it in stock or available to purchase:

Yeah, it's just kinda depressing because The 130A in Toyota Parts dollars , after you get your core back is roughly what I paid RA for Denso 130a WITH their core in January 2022, and I think the last price they had on the 150A when RA had it in stock was $210 with core included. :(:

Won one of these end of last week on Goodwill's auction site. $66, 1st gen Maker.

I contacted Cricut before bidding to make sure the machine's serial# wasn't disabled prior, didn't want to buy a DOA device, and it came back clear. When it got here, the 18v/3A power brick is dead, I'm assuming that's why the PO donated it to GW. Found someone on eBay locally selling replacement power brick, $16. Just gotta get a mat, blade, and some vinyl and I'm going to start tinkering with cutting my own decals/badges/stickers. Hopefully it didn't get hit by lightning or something, and that's why the brick is dead, but anything you get cheap like this is a gamble, and I think I can get $100 in parts at least for it. Looks brand spanking new inside and out.

Anyone else on here using these things? I know the 1st gen have issues with the rollers taking a shit.

I had the flu all last week and was out for several days. When I left, I was searching for a replacement filter for my trans. Finally found it. The parts number is 35330-35020. It's on its way from Toyota. Hopefully I'll have that think stabbed back in by Friday. However, it's shaping up to be a busy week around here, so we will see.

I wonder when the next sale is? Nothing better than 1/2 price parts.

I did clean off the junkyard wagon and organize all my spares, so our war rig is ready for action.

The person I found with the best related content online (Karley Hall) seems to prefer the Silhouette over the Maker for function and easier-to-use software. I saw a Cameo 4 on the GW site also, but it looked pretty well-worn. I wasn't sure what to get between the two, so I threw out a bid of $75 and won at $66. Oldest is crafty and I'm sure she'll get use out of it either way, I was looking at it for cutting decals on the truck. Ones I was looking at online were on average $40 if you pass along a design and have someone else cut a handful out. Vinyl runs less than a buck a sheet. Why buy the milk, when you can have the cow? I guess we'll see how it turns out. You ever use it for anything on/in the truck?

Really was damn near spotless inside. Doesn't look like much of anything was cut in it. Bummer, came in the original box, but no mat, no fine cutter or rotary blade, but thankfully that stuff isn't too pricey.
