    Good day,

I replaced the reverse lights in my truck about 1 year ago with LEDs, OXILAM Upgraded 3156 3157 LED Bulb Reverse Light. Been working fine until recently. One of the bulbs I thought it had a fault and was going to replace it. The bulb works when I push the bulb in but as soon as I release it, it pushes out and losses connection. I had a replacement bulb and put one of those in and it has the same problem, pushes out and losses connection. I put the old one back in and it works for now but when I hit bump it will go out.
So here is my question are the bulbs junk and need to get something else. Or is the wiring harness connection the issue?

    Amazon
Old set - OXILAM Upgraded 3156 3157 LED Bulb Reverse Light
New set - AUXITO 3157 LED Bulbs Reverse Lights, 102-SMD Chipsets

Thanks for your help and time.

I reread your post and edited mine..
Sounds like you've got a bad or dirty socket.

You might try bending the contacts out on the socket and bulb (if possible) for a better connection.
Maybe spray some contact cleaner into the socket.
    I got mine at Lowes.

If that doesn't work try replacing the socket.

And clean both ends of the socket if you go that route.

I can never run LEDs in my tail lights (2nd gen). I think the extra weight makes them work themselves out of the socket after a short time, especially on rough terrain. I had to switch back to filaments. I also bent out the brass tabs inside the socket a tiny bit and tried different LEDs before I retreated to stock. It is too bad because the LEDs were much brighter.
