I have a 2002 tundra AC limited. Will 265/70r17 tires fit without changing anything stock. Also can I use 2 inch leveling spacers without changing anything. I just want to level the front for looks nothing other than that.

For suspension/tire stuff, the things you need to know specifically, see the suspension section in this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

Spacers will still change your suspension geometry. Can you do it? Of course. Is it great? Not really. Is it better to spend the money on a decent brand lifted coil on a Bilstein strut? Yep.

Just avoid Rough Country, Rancho, and Monroe and you should be alright.

Thanks I mostly just wanted to know if it'd be fine to run for a few weeks until I have more money to upgrade. I'm dead broke after buying this truck.

Totally get it. I’m a fan of buy once cry once (or install once cry once) but I also doubt you’ll need the added front lift for 1” added diameter. You may run but if you do it won’t be nearly as substantial as what I’m dealing with on my 2006 AC running + 2.25” diameter tire and an extra 3/4” if I’m remembering right. 265/70r17 you’re not adding any worth, just sidewall height (again, from memory, all the tire research we’ve all done is in that thread I linked)

That said, are you thinking too hard about this? Get the tires. If the rubbing is obvious, install spacer ‘til you get a few hundo to buy lifted springs and struts.

I'm probably just gonna wait until I have the money cause I will have enough next month.

Be sure all the other maintenance items are up to date before spending the coin on bigger tires and such. Lower ball joints and the timing belt especially.

Well I know that tires is one of them I just found out yesterday that my tires are 7-8 years old. Right now it's just the battery, tires, brakes, and fluids. By fluids I mean the brake fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant. But I already bought the stuff for that just waiting for my off day.

I got ya. Do you know how old the timing belt or ball joints are either?

Ball joints no I haven't had the time to look at them the timing belt looks relatively new. I'll be replacing the ball joints next year or else December depending how bad they are.

They typically don’t show signs of being bad, they just fail. Catastrophically, we’ve seen.

Yeah as stated here. They won't usually let you know, they just come apart. $250 is usually the most you'll spend for OEM. We can link you to part numbers and such if need-be

Timing belt looks won't always tell you the whole story. If you don't know the age I'd at least plan to replace it at some point in the nearish future as long as it isn't showing visual cracking.

I know that it looking fine isn't a good indicator but it means I don't need to fix it yet will probably do it in a month or two. The ball joints I was planning to do when I do my suspension since I'd already be taking it apart might as well rebuild the suspension.
