Drive almost 800 miles today and it took almost 15 hours. . Had a few unplanned stops beyond picking a few people up and having to load their stuff and straps a few things down. I forgot the spare trailer tire so I had to pony up and buy one in route. :anonymous: Tundra was anll over the place in fuel consumption. i recorded between 14.7 and 9.2 gallons on fill ups. The headwind on 80 west out of Salt Lake City just drank my fuel up. For the worst leg. 80 west once we got into Nevada has some of the best roads I've ever driven on. Smooth as silk.

My grandson and I went Sunday. One couple inside eating. 6 employees on hand to fry potatoes and build burgers. They prolly get close to $20 an hour. Hence the outrageous bill. No combos available and no coupons. IN-N-OUT would be half that for 2 double doubles, 2 fries, 2 Cokes. Besides, IN-N-OUT was established in 1948. Five Guys in 1986. IN-N-OUT had no freezers, fresh sourced beef, hand cut fries, in house made buns 38 years before Five Guys. Five Guys is good, but not twice as good as IN-N-OUT.

    5 guys is not good.

    the buns are dry.

and the only way to make the fries taste good is to ask for a little tub of the cajun seasoning.

In & Out fries are simple...not that great.

IN-N-OUT fries used to be great. They now use "healthier" sunflower oil. On the other hand, 5 Guys fries are quite oily. Very oily.

Properly cooked and salted is hard enough for 99% of restaurants.

    A double-fry is stupid.

    Steak fries are the worst.

Fresh cut with the skin on is simply the best

Have you been to Whataburger in your neck of the woods? I went to a Whataburger in Victoria, Texas years ago. It was OK. Not really a burger joint. To me, a burger joint is simply that. No chicken sandwich or breakfast burritos in sight. Just beef!

Negative for the exact reasons you listed. I hardly stray from the classic crowd pleaser of a Double-Double, it's just good every time! I did actually switch up my order to protein style about a year ago and haven't looked back.
