This may have already been covered, but.. My 2005 AC (170K miles) V-8 has been having transmission problems. When accelerating or slowing, it feels like someone has slammed into the back of my truck. I finally tracked it down to the transmission oil flow solenoid. My first thought was to just install a rebuilt transmission. However, for anyone who's checked, there isn't a rebuilt transmission currently available in the United States. Haven't checked outside the US. My mechanic located located the following item (see photo).

Once installed, it fixed the problem.

Cheaper than a rebuilt would have been.

I'll start checking to see if an earlier/later transmission can be installed and what reprogramming, if possible, that would entail, to avoid having to buy another truck.

If anyone has a solution, I'd be most grateful.

If replacing that valve body fixed the problem, why do you want another solution?

I was having that same issue

Similar issue was covered in the following threads

    Lubing Drivelines:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/jolt-when-stopping-at-a-light.60699/

    Internal trans problem*

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/messed-up-my-transmission-a-warning-to-everybody.117835/

I followed the options in the second one and did a complete replacement of the Trans Fluid with Toyota fluid. My fluid was dark as night.
I also replaced the filter and the problem has not reoccurred.

    Both threads are very informative.

With the replacement, the truck is running fine. Just moved from Florida back to Georgia and my friend/mechanic is my repair god. That said, I had this problem before and had it repaired in Florida at the end of March this year. Same problem occurred again and I just got the truck back. Hoping for more that 5 months this time. HOWEVER, on the off chance that the problem recurs, I figured that I'd stock a spare. Since the A750E transmission seems to be going the way of the dodo, I'm trying to find out if any of the other transmissions can be used, possibly by reprogramming something in the computer (or whatever it's called).
