I'd start with the frame rust. Looks to be pretty encompassing and you may not even need to repair anything. I also believe it's an ebrake.

edit. Use a hammer to see if the frame is still salvageable.

I am pretty sure some things might be upgraded by now. I would see about doing away with some of the older things and see about getting a touch of newer on it? Such as an emergency brake assembly. But on the other hand if you can find a whole unit it might save time and money.

I see after looking back over this thread, you've made a few classic mistakes covered (for a reason) in the new owner megathread.
    • Rancho shocks: Avoid for these trucks. The lower shock bushing blows out, often within a few thousand miles of driving. We have one member on here who was going on his 3rd pair up front, and finally gave up. We've had several others come here for suspension advice or help whose lower Rancho bushings were obliterated. It's garbage, and sadly, Bilstein 5100s are only fractionally more expensive.
    • fleaBay and scAmazon are rife with subpar parts, and littered with counterfeits. We've seen droves of people on here over the years who've had issues with both cheap/generic aftermarket, and even knockoff OEM parts, from both platforms. Shit part about it with eBay, specifically ... say those ABS sensors cause an issue with braking, one of the most important safety systems in your truck other than the airbags. Do you think fleaBay seller "Parts-Proper" will be stepping up and covering your loss, or replacing the part in the event there's issues? fleaBay won't take any responsibility for damages, nor step in and intervene if the part is faulty. Several members on this forum have received counterfeit spark plugs (not just in the 1st gen subforum, but site-wide!)
    • Stick with OEM for electronics: For example, coil packs, OEM coilpacks have been tested on this very forum to throw significantly hotter and more consistent spark than even moderate quality parts store brands. People have had issues with aftermarket temp/pressure senders. We've seen startup failures (and lots of money wasted) due to store bought aftermarket start/fuel pump relays that were supposed to work. Continued codes after using aftermarket O2 or air/fuel ratio sensors. ABS/wheel speed sensors are one of those I wouldn't trust aftermarket.
    • Honorable mention: Any part that takes more than 1hr to replace or requires collateral replacement (fuel pump, starter, SAI pump, etc.) always go with OEM to avoid having to do the job again in a couple of months or years.
I'll be interested to see how you pan out with that stuff. If your OEM ABS sensors aren't clearly defective, I'd leave them in and return the generic no-name brand you bought. It's pretty clear based on the body they're inferior construction to OEM. But that's why OEM has lasted 20 years already...

Shocks listed by OP are also for 0 inches of lift, they won't be long enough.

Also OP the front spacer lifts are known to make the truck ride a bit wonky. Good cheap option but ride quality may suffer a bit.

Don't throw out your OEM front axles either. They are far superior in quality and you can replace the boots on them.

Also new OEM lower ball joints and timing belt change should be on your to-do-list somewhere.

I’d be concerned about the spare tire and cable holding it up. Has it been replaced under the recall?

You can look up the service history on the Toyota website for your truck and whether the truck was seen for the recall or not.

Those aftermarket CVs are going to bring a bad time.

I believe with your fortitude to go head first you’ll bring a lot of good to your ride. But please listen to the advice in here. If it’s electronic or the job will be time consuming, go OEM all day
