I recently put 5100’s + 2884 springs on the front. I plan to add an Alcan leaf pack and fresh shocks to the rear soon. The rear 5100’s though are for 0-1” of lift and I might go more like 1-2” with the new leaf pack.

What’s the issue if I use 5100 or 5160 with more lift than recommended? travel limitation?

Is there a downside to mixing brands, eg Bilstein front and Icon or something else rear?

My off-roading is generally the slow rocky variety and short distances getting my camper to dispersed campsites.

I'm running 5100s out back with ballpark 1.5-1.75" lift. No issues (yet). I was told I'd be fine (Toytec's tech folks, and they install these regularly on our trucks)

I have 5100's in the rear with a 2" block and air bags, with ADS coilovers in the front. Works fine on the road. I haven't done much offroading yet but I don't imagine I'll have any major issues with this. I'll eventually get rid of the blocks and do an add a leaf or a whole new pack, but it's not a priority for me right now.

It's fine. It will possibly just limit droop a bit.

Thanks all! I went ahead and ordered the rear 5100’s.
