Headlights ?

What’s the best headlights for tundra I got halogen headlights with amber drls also I don’t wanna go cheap

^^^X2, I have mine for 7 yrs now no issues at all. To clarify I had the V1 then changed it to V2. @iHacker is a great guy to deal with.

I went with the blacked out TRD Pro headlights.
I didn't care for the bright white strips as a DRL and kept my amber DRLs, but swapped the bulbs for LEDS.
I already had an inline resistor to prevent hyperflash.



White strips come on dim with the lights on.

 

xwhatever number we are on. I truly wanted the Sequoia headlights but the price just wasnt in the cards. Either way, its a conversation with Ihacker, and one that will go well.

You wont be disappointed going OEM.

 

I also vote OEM LEDs headlights with ihacker harness. They look and work great

 

+1 that OEMs look great. If you want a complete headlight replacement you could also go with Alpharex, Morimoto, etc. Can show you some options if you want to go that route.

I have the 2018+ LED's, LED fogs, and the iHacker harness....just waiting for a window of time that I can put it all in.

I just got my Xpel film today as well...that one should be a doozy putting on with zero prior experience.

 

I had a past Xpel installer do mine, a friend of a friend, took him a little over an hour to do both of mine and he has been doing it for 10 years. Owns his own PPF business now. He used a solid piece of Xpel and made a relief cut like how they come if you buy direct from Xpel. Cant even tell its on there and he only charged me $75. I will tell you this, he was extremely liberal with the spray.

 

I will keep that relief cut in mind, thanks. Seems those curves cause a lot of frustration when doing it with a solid piece. I will do the fogs first to get a feel for things.

 

Another vote for the OEM LED headlights. I have a 2019 with the LED headlights and smoked lenses. They are the best headlights I have ever had on a vehicle. On bright they make you squint when looking at road signs.

 

for the OEM LED's, is there anything to look out for if buying them used on eBay vs paying full price at Sparks, etc?

Not sure...but I got mine from Sparks for $240ish ea with free shipping. The discount showed up automatically after I added to my cart. Not sure if they're still discounted, but worth keeping an eye on.

Another + for OEM LEDs, my truck came with them.

Alpharex Pro series with Morimoto HIDs are on another level, though.

 

I love my Morimotos. Nothing wrong with the oem TRD Pro headlights that came with my truck but I wanted my headlights to match my morimoto tail lights.

 

I was just telling another member this, but if you wait for this sale, once or twice a year the dealerships have a huge sale and they’re free shipping w/ tax free. This is my order from Serra Toyota of Decatur in March 2022

Do those Morimotos already come with the harness or did u have buy a conversion harness ?

 

OEM! Pro if you want them blackout or Sport if you would like them normal, minus all the darkness.
