Haha yea it was just sealant like @FrenchToasty said. Had one more sneaky bolt down below that I hadnt removed so it wasnt coming off. Once I found that bolt the sealant broke away pretty easily. Thanks guys!

Now any idea how to remove the antenna assembly to get this fender completely off my truck??

It’s got some fancy bolt on there that doesn’t come off. If you unbolt the antenna holder inside the fender, the antenna wire is long enough to rest the fender on the ground.

and oh yeah, there’s one bolt at the bottom of the fender near the door

I'm not shifty` but I'll chime in. I tapped mine using the wires from the back up lamp socket on the driver's side. Literally positive and ground. Works just fine for my back up camera.

    +1

I used positive side of bulb and actually grounded the ground to the truck.

I 3rd what @FishNinja and @The Black Mamba said. I just did this to get reverse lights on my camper... well, it doesn't have reverse lights, but you can imagine them working if it did, right?!

Boy that would be nice! My camper has little white plastic spots on the tail lights so I'm guessing I could get reverse lights going...but never looked into it. There were several years I was living out of my camper in the summer, and they really would have come in handy since I was driving it around town at least once a week. But now that I only camp with it, I'm not as concerned. Would still be really nice though. In fact I'm not sure why it's not a requirement. Can't see anything back there...people are on their own if they drive up behind me when I'm backing!

Yeah there are options. I'm just surprised it's not part of the 7-pin (or would that make it 8?) connection. For enclosed cargo trailers and camper trailers, seems like it ought to be standard.

Thanks to a good ole Texas Aggie on here, I have a second fog light switch :D. I cannibalized the switch that came with the AuxBeams and wired the white bright lights into that second fog light switch. I also tapped into the marker light circuit to power the amber DRL lights on the pods. Supper happy with this .

    What they said ^^

Only thing I can add is this. If you really want to test/verify before you cut/solder/shrink, get some Posi-taps. They'll let you cleanly tap into the wires you intend to use with a simple pinhole to pierce the sheath of each wire. When you remove the tap, simply paint over the tiny pinhole with GB liquid electric tape, and you'll never have a problem with water/moisture intrusion. It absolutely won't cut/fracture wires like typical scotchlok/t-tap connectors will do.

Yes! I forgot to add this little nugget of advice as well. I just learned of their existence from @shifty` and have a few packs on order.

Anyone have a source or a general direction to purchase KO blanks for our dash? I used the small square to the left of the steering wheel for my remote, and marked it up quite a bit.

My brother! I really appreciate that, but (shockingly) the dealership has the oak colored pc for $10. I appreciate the gesture, my friend.

55539-06010-E0 - the E is for the oak color, but this is how the part # starts.

You have to be careful with plastics at this point. Toyota has been defaulting to oak on everything these days.

Well it's a damn good thing my interior is oak!

Hell yeah. I have the duplicolor touch up pen for the exterior, just need to find the interior one. Pretty sure Toyota calls it "Beige".

Yeah I wanted to get the axle installed before I bought spacers. I think I'm still going to need 1" on all 4 corners.
No thanks, it's a semi daily driver so can't take the chance of the ass end kicking out on the gf if it ever rains. I'll patiently wait for an lsd to hit the junkyard.

New gas cap solved some evap codes I had that was preventing the evap monitor to set and a new air filter went in as well. Passed smog and ready for an oil change tomorrow once it hits 165k.

Needs that lowering kit installed asap.

Got my Rockauto order, now just gotta install- all 4 02sensors, platinum plugs, air filter, got the new steering shaft seal on hand too.

Too much timing using the truck, not enough time working on it.

Got a load of slate today for a new patio, I was told it’s approximately 450sqft, I felt like this was a full enough load and have about a beds worth left to pick up this weekend.

Also gave it a quick wash yesterday:)

Doesn't really count since it's a first gen Tacoma, but I decided to make it a little easier to sell and replaced the belts today. Will also replace a CV axle. That's about all I'm willing to do. But way too old belts and a torn CV boot aren't good selling points.
