My local dealer has 68 tundras listed. About 35 on the lot. They've got them marked down $4k plus another 2k in incentives and they're not moving.

I'd expect some better financing deals soon to try to move them.

I don’t think it’s accurate to say they aren’t moving , they are setting records for tundra sales based on the last report

they also can produce more now that the taco is out of the plant, so we’ll see how the numbers continue.

it seems they may be doing a little of the big three , make more but discount more to move more , but on a smaller scale. Will be interesting to see how the numbers continue

You could very well be correct.

Although the build more and discount/incentivize heavily to move them strategy is going to be detrimental to resale values. That is of course a customer problem, not necessarily a Toyota problem.

Too bad I wasn’t very impressed with the Sequoia I drove, by the end of the year I’ll bet a guy can get a Tundra for $6K off list and special financing on top of that.

I have a 16 Pro and I am in wait and see mode. When the bugs get worked out on 3rd generation I will consider selling and purchasing a new pro.upload_2024-5-14_12-59-22.jpg

No deal. If I wanted a brand new 2nd Gen I would have bought a 2021.

5w30 every 5k miles or 6 months, higher octane gas, don't floor it in 100 degree weather and you'll be fine.

I’m in the same boat. My 2015 has been solid truck since the day I bought it new. I’m approaching 10 year mark with it and have started looking at trucks a bit. I naturally am interested in the tundra but am very hesitant due to these continued engine failures. Yes it’s a small percentage overall, but what about when there isn’t a warranty anymore and that thing potentially lets loose? Or it may be a solid truck for 10 years who knows at this point. I’m certainly not looking to drop $60k on a chance. Unfortunately I feel like that’s the case with any new vehicle anymore. It’s luck of the draw.
