Only the Wilwood proudly proclaims it will give people in California cancer. That’s how you know something is going to actually work and be worth buying.

With your contributions and hard work installing those brakes you can give a Californian cancer. Do your part to eradicate the plague of Californians!

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
Disregarding the above, unless you have some crazy heavy wheel and tire set I don't understand the need. I am in the Rockies and have mine loaded for work as well as towing, never any brake issues. They sure look cool tho.

My brakes have been replaced once for “total failure” - Toyota unable to find a reason. Replacement ones suck and I have to hit the pedal hard to come to a stop.

Thinking of ordering the Wilwood kit. But fitment is a concern on the 17inch wheel I am running. I sent them an email, but they are not eager to help or sell.

I have a set of the Rotora brakes on mine (6-piston front / 4-piston rear). I've had mine since October and so far so good. Massive difference in braking performance over stock.

With replacing the rear calipers with a 4-piston set up. Does your electronic e-brake still work the same?

Nothing has changed in the e-brake functionality. :)

Wilwood is great if you don't have to worry about winter since they have no dust boots, Powerbrake seem to also use just pistons seals vs dust boots + seals, keep that in mind.

Thanks for the reply, so you're saying the Rotora 4-piston caliper in the rear has a provision to accept the the electronic actuator that applies the electronic e-brake then? Curious to know if it applies two pistons or just one. Or if it applies all 4. I thought the actuator is mechanical and pushed the one piston out rather than through brake pressure. This is also why I would assume most big brake manufactures are staying away from the rears because they would have to work with the Toyota actuator or have their own. If Rotora has that figured out I agree with Ryan they are actually pretty competitively priced compared to others on the market.

As to the number of pistons in the rear brakes for the e-brake, that’s a technical question to ask Rotora. Sorry, I don’t know the answer to that.

yes, standard EPB uses a ballscrew mechanism, this photo shows it looks like it uses a similar set up,

    https://hpbuilt.shop/products/rotor...ston-rear-electronic-parking-brake-compatible

Wilwood and others have also done this for a while, some like the EPB to be a standalone caliper, it reduce the complexity.

Then I've also seen these integrated ones.

I’ve been running the Wilwood and have had issues with brake judder. I resurfaced the rotors which Wilwood advices against. They felt good for a bit but now having issues again. About 15k total miles on the kit. Keep in mind rotors are $500 a piece and pads are about $250 for the set. Wilwood wasn’t helpful either when I asked for support on why the rotors warped so quickly.
2015 Tundra with 35’s and occasionally tow a 6500lb travel trailer.

I've had mine in the box for a couple months - still have to install. How have the pads been wearing in your experience?
