Yea, my white really sticks out like a sore thumb with my diy tube bumper. I might go the route that @Voss went

Thanks. I like it. Those areas were sticking way out with my bumper & passenger side windshield fluid tank is right behind it so gotta do something about it if you do cut… a decent amount out

Yea I think a combination of trimming and painting black would be the best.

You probably know this as it isn't your first time installing one- but if you have to install it by striking it with your palm or tapping with a mallet, you're using too much force!!!

Tranny mounts are fine. Engine mounts work but are rusted to crap. Only way to see what might be happening would be jacking up the rear axle, putting it in drive (pointed towards the woods) and look from the side to see if anything shudders.

O- O- O'Riley's 89.99 on discount brand muffler special baby. Total cost for a resonator back pre axle dump about 140 bucks, plus my time to weld it up. Factory piping to a step up to a 2.5 in and a 2.75 out

So I need to replace my driver side axle seal on the front diff. It leaked out all the diff juice. Anyways is there a brand besides OEM y'all recommend? I was going to shop around AutoZone and O'Reilly's because they're both walking distance from me. Just want to make sure no on has had any horror stories about non OEM brand seals

E Free gas 4 to 5 times a year to help clean out the ethanol residue will guve your fuel system and cylinders a wonder of a cleaning. Add some sea foam to it twice a year and it'll never give you an issue. I run 90 E Free once a month in the Tundra. My truck used to run out of gas at a "quarter tank", it doesn't any more cause all that residue that was gumming up my float and level sender is gone now. It may be a bit pricey but it does help out in the long run.

Last I was there you said you didn't have one and that's why I offered you mine, since I sold my skid to @txagg a long time ago. You didn't say anything about having already sourced one.

    Well . . . I puss'd-out and payed a local shop to re-do my rear brakes.
A few family health things at home, and a bad back on me were the deciding factors.
I took them a new doorman bell crank kit, and they put on new drums, shoes, etc.
Great local guys who did the work . . . afterwards they showed me all the old parts & how rusted everything was back there, BRUTAL . . . made me relieved that I made the right decision this time to have them do it.

Another thing is that my truck barely clears my garage door . . . and once inside I wouldn't have been able to jack it up to the height needed to do the job w/o htting the garage door opener.
And I really wasn't into to doing it outside on our steep driveway for all the neighbors to rubber-neck and heckle me . . . . so anyways . . . it's done.

Gotta say, the braking is soooooo much better . . . . rear brakes and parking brakes were non-existent . . . no wonder I was chewing through front brake pads ! LOL. Plus I have a parking brake now that actually works ! . . . who'd-a-thunk !?!?!

I’m pretty sure all the complaints from way back in the day about poor braking performance really just boiled down to the rears not self adjusting properly. Not undersized calipers.

I'm surprised you could safely drive it. I've driven my truck when the rears were not adjusted and it was legitimately dangerous. I turned around on my street.

My Lexus calipers were actually messed up but I agree with you. Even the slightest misadjustment in the rear has a huge impact. I hate the drums.

some of it is the headlight is taking a direct hit from all the road debris, some of it might be the headlight lens getting hotter with a big chromed chamber behind it (assuming clogged vent tube).
The side markers get glancing blows of debris & the air chamber to heat up is much smaller.
But that's just guesswork with a splash of fuzzy logic mixed in.

I like this logic. Heat is probably the #1 cause. If it was UV then all the lenses would do it.
