Fair enough. I’m gonna double check my hardware when I pick mine up when they’re done. I’d be pretty bummed if I drive two hours each way to pick up sliders just to not have all the hardware when it came time to install.

Sliders were per packing slip quantity its just if you're gonna drill you might want more to fill extra holes. I only grabbed some since I needed stuff from lowes anyways for the cat guards

Idk. I used what it came with and got some grade 8 for if/when I drill

I made a couple little mods to my 17 CrewMax today. First, I fabbed and installed a section divider to wall off the rearmost 20 or so inches. It's a couple shelves out of a steel office cabinet that I scrapped a while back, I just kept the shelves themselves as raw materials. I nested them end to end to the correct length and riveted them into a single unit. Fairly strong, fairly lightweight.

    upload_2024-5-4_19-25-47.png

I have unistrut bed rails, and the each of the tops of the divider attaches into the unistrut using shop-made 1/2" thumbscrews screwed into unistrut locking nuts.

    upload_2024-5-4_19-26-18.png
    upload_2024-5-4_19-26-34.png

But with those top points locked in, the panel can still swing like a flap. So to secure the bottom, I installed a couple of M10 rivet nuts

    upload_2024-5-4_19-28-23.png

    upload_2024-5-4_19-28-35.png

And then screwed stainless steel eyebolts into them.

    upload_2024-5-4_19-29-20.png

From there I attached a couple of wire guide clamps near the bottom of the divider, using them to clamp a very taut bungee cord in place. It's plenty strong enough to keep general cargo from shifting forward, and pretty simple to install and remove: 2 thumbscrews, and two bungee hooks.

And while I had the rivet nut tool out, I made another small, but important mod: A stainless grab handle for climbing up into the bed.

    upload_2024-5-4_19-36-35.png

Amazon sells these big stainless eyebolts in the M16 size, 2 for $10. I don't have any M16 rivet nuts, so I took an M16 bolt, drilled out its center, and tapped that hole to M10. Then screw an M10 threaded rod into there, and you now have a nice big stainless eyebolt that screws into an M10 rivet nut.

I only installed the one, on the drivers side, where the bed step is.

When you use the bed step, you need something to grip with your left hand to keep your balance as you climb up. Otherwise you have to bend over/kneel somewhat as you climb. So with this nice grab handle, I can grip it with my left hand, put my left foot on the bed step, and walk right up.

So the painted taillights got some sun damage. They just cooked inside the lens since the truck is in the sun all day. I went back to the old modified OEM tails, and they’re already growing on me.
Finished off with Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray, she shines like crazy.

Got the hardware yesterday and installed the RCI trans skis and cat guards today

They really need to do some updates on their install guides
i.e. trans skis crossmember bracket needs to be attached to skid first not truck.
Only 4 holes to put big bolts into for sliders not 5 per instructions

Swapped the overhead console from a 2nd gen. I'll tell ya cutting the headliner isn't for the faint of heart.

Gonna have to go back and tweak a few things but this lil mod is awesome! I was hoping the insulation would compress enough that I could leave it, but it prevents the console from seating towards the rear. Having the additional storage will be nice.

Blacked out the steering wheel trim with SEM trim paint. We'll see how it holds up before I paint anything else. I was super careful putting it back together and got a couple small nicks where the silver showed through. Covered them with a sharpie for now but we'll see how it holds up. I only let it dry for a couple of hours before reinstalling and no adhesion promoter or prep other than just cleaning the trim pieces with rubbing alcohol. Hopefully it's less prone to nicks once it fully cures.

I had a J&C catch can before the SC and it collected when I would check it at 5k oil changes. They work, period. As for how much, I would probably say 3-5 oz. When I did the SC install my intake runners on the engine had oil residue and the intake itself had oil residue on it. So it seems even with the catch can some oil still gets through. It could also be that my previous catch can isn't as good and let some through. I did the Radium because it just looks better and after examining it and comparing it to my old CC, it at least looks way better designed. I know that on the crack case side, people never get any thing in the catch can from Radium's duel setup. That's why I choose to just do the pcv side. I could for shit and giggle put my old CC on the crack case side. It will actually bolt up to the Radium bracket.
