I bet those wheels would look descent on my truck with my flares. I have coating starting to peel on one of my wheels.

$20 Amazon LED lights do a decent job lighting up the bed. Gotta run wiring now

Man, That's the hardest part so far. I ended up using both a grinder and a reciprocating saw.

Looks like this will be a good install for you too! I posted some pics. about the cut. It is not easy when you are in the floor with a truck on jack stands but it is doable.

When I finish I will post all photos and details about the whole process including some oops too. :)

For anyone interested RCI is running a special right now if you order the transmission skid plate you get the cat guards for free (over $200 normally). Just picked up the skid and the cat guards myself. Can’t be too safe these days

Unfortunately, Method doesn't sell these wheels anymore. I got them on closeout. I bought them back in January but have been waiting for winter to end to throw them on. I will be getting black lip bolts eventually. I don't love the chrome bolts and I think black will look better.

Looks like they still have a few left on Amazon. I think I paid $288 per wheel but this is still a pretty good price.

Decided to keep it (owned since 2015) and not trade it on a new 2024 Tundra!

Raptor lights. I imagine all the cool people have probably stopped doing this. But I'm bringing it back. Because I like it. And now that I've done it, it must be cool again. Right?

Glad you're ok and the other driver is alive. That being said, get an attorney if you haven't already. Insurance companies are not on your side.

nice! I've been wanting to do this mod. @Jeff_5_7 did you ever figure out a work around with the hypertech/RC speedo calibrator issue you encountered with @azTony?

Is that a Revesol steering wheel or a steering wheel from Amazon?

The only solution was to remove the TPMS for the spare to “see if” it would bring back the speedo.

Bit the bullet and replaced the center a/c vent section. It really wasnt that hard. About 1.5 hours all in. Also replaced the steering wheel with one from Revesol. I didnt like the red center piece so I took a piece of 3/4 heat shrink and cut it down and super glued it to the wheel. Looks much better to me.

Central Florida group, especially on FB really like the one below. I havent used him yet but he does a lot with these trucks. Just depends on the drive you want to make.

I am very excited to hear you both made it out alive. Good on you for the lawyer and hopefully they will help you make it whole. My insurance company did right by me and gave me market value (slight push from lawyer to get full market) and then the lawsuit will pay down most of this truck I just bought. Not all, but close. With the two combined, you may come out ahead if you buy used.

the struggle for me, and has been since day 3, is the medical side. Absolutely life changing and no where to the degree you are in. Beyond frustrating but it may work out.

The accident happened September 23. the truck was a 2017 TRD off road 2 wheel drive double cab sr5. I found a 21 limited 4x4 double cab in mgm a week later 2hours from home. I wanted a double cab for bed space and for my sub box i just built. lol. it was meant to be and did the deal over the phone. i had the salesman put it on the lift and send video of the frame and such before i drove down to pick it up. After all said and done i now have this truck paid off! good feeling for sure.
    Thanks for the kind words.

I rolled 90,000 miles today, bought new in 8-19. Still runs and drives like new, just general maintenance. Going to try for a million miles. Will be paid off within a year.
