I actually saw a truck just west of Anderson SC, a DC in black, with right front LBJ fail in FB Marketplace earlier. She only wants $2k for it, says UBJ/LBJ failed (both but I bet it’s LBJ). “Undriveable” so you’d need to field swap (it’s literally in a field) an LBJ and maybe UBJ into it to get it outta where it’s at. Didn’t say if title is clean, if frame is good, or 2WD/4WD, and no interior shots, so I kept looking for other stuff.

It would be nice to know the miles on the truck, like is it a 40k miles? ($9400, is that a typo?)
Because a dented hood/fender/and small dent in roof "totaled" mine. Fought them for weeks and only got value up to $3200 I think it was?
If all that is correct I need to know who his ins company is.

my buddies '22 sillyrado failed without weird noises. As soon as he pulled out onto a highway from a stop it started bucking & rattling. Had to drive a loaner crossover for like 5 months while the dealer replaced the engine.

My BILs 6.2 in his 2018 GMC started ticking, then it progressed into a knocking sound. He parked it then, but the damage was already done. Lifter failed and shat metal into the oiling system. That metal ate the crank and rod bearings. Motors toast. Currently on the lookout for a reasonable 6.2 L86 15-18’ replacement. They are like hens teeth. And spendy.

@Voss has the ultimate. Might have to use 2 to equal his. Have the driver side wrap around the back, and passenger side wrap around the front...then i wouldnt have to find shade to camp under, i'd bring the shade with me.

I don't have personal experience with any of them, but I see that Rough Country has decent pricing with decent reviews. Hopefully their awnings are better than their suspension stuff.

Attention DIY people: we are looking into a cord hiding kit for the TV mounts we have.

I can't decide between an over the wall and an in the wall "fish through"

    Y'all got any experience? Pros/cons?

Two things: I prefer in-the-wall, but that's not suitable for every location. I can link up the kit I used when I built out the wife's gym experience if you want me to.

However, if you wanted to do surface-mount, I have 3 packs of the Legrand CMK30 (that's my link, click it) I'm happy to ship to you for free, to do any TVs you need to in your new house. Consider it an extra little housewarming gift from our fam to yours.

Those kits work great in any area, but fair warning, the adhesive they use is stout, so if it's going on drywall, you may want to drill and molly things.

Well shit, if we're already linking things ... here's what I used for our gym: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081R1GQXH?ie=UTF8

I typically use the surface-mount kits on exterior walls, block walls, walls with insulation, or any other situation where I know it's gonna be a f'n bitch to fish cords OR if I know it'll be a temporary setup OR depending on how the power outlet situation looks.

If the tv/equipment is gonna stay where its at, do the fish through. & leave an extra fish line in case you need to add something later.

used to work with my buddy doing that kinda stuff & it always turns out nicer to hide the wires in the wall. And the pocketed wall plate give you more room so you dont have to kink wires. I guess it comes down to how the walls are built & how much room you have.

Recently used a larger combo box for power and signal wires. The larger box makes it much easier to fish lines through it. Pick a stud space with power in it already and it’s a simple wire job.

And if it's all low-voltage and you're going in-wall, you can use open-back LV boxes.
