I was looking at them. I was thinking long and hard about it. Hell, I'm pretty sure that's what I almost bought (pretty sure I texted that one to you, found it on fleaBay down in the Tampa area several months ago). Never followed through. May still do it. Or wait ... maybe it was that other company. One is drill-to-add, the other is not (major brand, Hotchkis or similar IIRC. EDIT: HELLWIG! The other, which I think is no-drill, is Hellwig)

The ADDCO one. It's 19mm in diameter compared to the 27mm? diameter of others. It's definitely a bit lower quality than the Hellwig one but I wouldn't want it to be any stiffer.

Having a rear sway bar that matches or exceeds the stiffness of the front can make it twitchy or prone to oversteer. I drove a friend's miata that had an aftermarket rear bar. It was easy to get the rear to step out on hard braking, and I think that would be a bad combo on a truck with what, 70% of it's weight in the front?

    Adding pics.

    Two options:
    1. Click this post number, then copy/paste from the pop-up window
    2. Right-click (or long-hold on mobile, I think) and "copy link", then paste

I don't have experience with the Hellwig bar but after having mine I'm not sure why it would be better aside from manufacturing quality. Both are made in USA though.

Doesn't the hellwig also mount under the axle housing, and face rearwards? I feel like it would be easy to smack and bend when driving over like, anything.

What have i done to my brothers l5p douschemax today?

full inspection, greased hood springs, doors, tailgate, and replaced fuel and oil filters. Oil change. Found out he's 30k past the trans & t-case schedule, so polo & i are holding down the fort while he goes to get fluids & a filter. Topped off his TRE's and while checking pressure in his spare found out that someone has been stuffing trash into his spare tire cavity.

he's ready to roadtrip to peniscola. Vouldnt talk him into replacing the seal between his airbox & hoodscoop. Not my circus.

    Yeah. Bearings.

Not sure I could keep the bearings centered well enough to use a 12lb sledge. Plus, that's a lotta wacks. But I am a fan of using a press, and giving love taps with a 3lb sledge to take some of the strain off the press for more stubborn jobs.

Good luck. Read another thread on here where someone had theirs done at a shop and they failed soon after.

I'm not at all concerned about the OEM parts or the Toyota off-road shop screwing up the job .
I'm just concerned that today the rest of the family comes home from being out of the country for the last 2.5 weeks. Meanwhile, my truck is on jackstands, sideways, taking up the whole garage. I dropped off the spindles two weeks ago, tomorrow. Thursday is the big Lone Star Toyota Jamboree. I'm not going this year, but I know the shop is crazy busy, because of the big push to get rigs ready for Jambo.

It's happened more than once, but I do remember a case within the last several weeks where it happened to someone again, not long after they had them done (like a year or something?)
Speaking of facts, fun fact: Did you know the two species of bluebonnet making up the the majority of the species globally are only found in Texas? Maybe that's worded awkwardly. Bluebonnets aren't naturally found much of anywhere in the world but Texas (TS)
