Yes, 5 gallon bucket, 4 gallons of vinegar and a small pond pump (I don’t remember the volume, but pretty small), a couple hoses with garden ends and there are flushing valve on the heater, get it pumping and let it circulate for about an hour.

I had a couple turkeys as pets back in my mid-20'. Well not really pets per se...more like a rescue turkeys. I live out in a rural area, and our neighbor decided to buy 25 wild turkeys so that he could hunt them. Those turkeys more or less (more would be more accurate) just roamed the country side. One morning i woke up to see all 25 turkeys bouncing (not purposely) on my trampoline. It was the more perplexing and hilarious things i've seen. I was befuddled by those dumb birds. About a month later there was only one turkey left over and he just hung around our place so we ended up keeping him. Eventually he became fairly domesticated.

It took it an episode or three to get to full speed. By ep 4, I was invested. Curious to see what the next season looks like.

Tell me more. Did you install it? Did you notice and change in your gas bill? Are they really as great as people say? The water heater in my mom's house is 25 years old- it's been fine but the thought of it breaking at a bad time is always in the back of my head.

Less gas use and less carbon emission into the atmosphere is also something that I care about a lot, I'm on a mission to make her house as sustainable as (reasonably) possible. I'll likely someday own this house- I'd like to start making it more efficient now.

I did install it. I cant compare gas use to a tanked water heater as I've never had one.

I may not be the best use case for overall performance. Tiny house, single, don't believe in dishwashers, and take short showers.

It fits my lack of space and lifestyle well. The best part is the hot water line I ran to the shop so that I can pressure wash with hot water. I've pressure washed for over an hour with no problems.

25 years on a water heater is damn good around here, sometimes they only last 10.

How can you not believe in dishwashers? I've seen them, they do exist, it's not like something made up that nobody has ever seen, like a god or a unicorn.

Really I just worded that weird. Dishwashers are bar none the most bullshit appliance. Handwash or GTFO.

Some people don’t want to wait for a full cycle to wash a handful of dishes.
