I've got a 2005 Tundra access cab where the driver door doesn't open. It won't open using the inside or outside door handles. Key fob locks and unlocks but nothing! Am I needing to replace the whole mechanism w/actuator or one or the other?

Is this truck new to you?

Is there any way to open the door at all?

Do you know if anyone has replaced the latch assembly or door lock?

Truck was handed down to me, latches have never been touched. There is no way to open driver side door. I’ve seen videos on taking rear door panel off and cutting striker plate. I just need confirmation what parts to buy exactly.

My drivers door latch started to get funky at about 100k miles and 21 years old, I started having to pull it (outside) or push (inside) hard to open the door. I replaced the latch before it gave up the ghost entirely. I don't think the door panel will come off with the door in the closed position. I think you will need to first get the door open.
