Ok. You also said you added the USBs and I thought the USBs came with the Bed plug.

It's what I didn't do to my Tundra today.... Finally broke down and bought the black plastic front emblem cover. This was after I prepped and painted the one that came with the truck (twice) but it still ended up getting paint chips, so I broke down and spent $50 on a piece of plastic. I found out why it costs so much, it must come with bacon flavoring or my dog thought so. So now I'm even more thrilled to buy another cover. FML

I will say that I thought the spray color was awesome. It's black chrome. But it just doesn't last in that area. Too much rub from surrounding parts. Almost wish I could spray it then wrap it with PFF.

Got some tint work done today - added 15% to moonroof and had the shop install pre-cut "C" tint I bought online to the tailights. It is actually two pieces of film to cover the whole light but only did the C first and I'll try it for a while. Also attaching pictures from recent tint work for ideas. Headlight marker, mirror turn signal, 3rd brake light.

Black on black with all that tint is too sexy haha.

While I like the Borla rumble the best outta all currently available aftermarket exhausts (even though they all still sound like riced-out Civics) I gotta say:
I've emailed Borla twice regarding the [then] upcoming Tundra exhaust and asked specifically about compatibility of the bed step.
Never got a response regarding it (they replied, but never addressed by bed step Q)..........now I know why.

    Color me unamused!

Glad you got it back! What’s the details on your lift/tire combo? I tried snooping on your page but with no luck.

I've got a 2" front, 1" rear lift, all Dobinsons IMS. Wheels are stock with BMS 1" wheel spacers to keep from rubbing the sway bar. Tires are Firestone XT 285/65/20, just barely short of a 35x11.5.

I really wanted the "OEM Plus" look, where it remained stock like, but better. I like to think the small lift and small tire upsize achieved that.

Man, that is cool. Can you drop a link for the magsafe charges and the wiring harness you used?

thanks! I like to over complicate things so the whole phone charger set up I did custom.

I used Apple MagSafe charger pucks, some flush mounts from Etsy. I hardwired from the cigarette lighter, using a jumper harness I made, to power an additional cigarette lighter I mounted into a small project box. From there, I used a mini dual usb-c adapter capable of 20/36 watts. The MagSafe pucks are painted flat black and I used come forged carbon vinyl to wrap the borders.

started off with this basically (see first photo) then did all the wiring on my own. I didn’t take any photos of the final wiring, even though I should have cause I made sure to wrap up everything in mesh sleeve and Tessa tape so it looks clean/OE, but the second picture shows what everything looks like from someone else who did something similar (second photo). They made their lives much simpler by wiring to the USB ports in the console but I keep my gun tucked in mine and didn’t want any wires to potentially cause an issue with retrieval.

I tucked the project box in where you see the green connector (second photo), behind and to the right of the shift knob. Made sure to tuck everything out of the way just to be safe.

I can fix just about anything around the house. But that picture right there makes we want to vomit. :goingcrazy: No way I would tackle something like that. Gladly pay my money to the car guys.

I got rid of all my charges in the house and only charge in my truck. Sometimes I drive around JUST to charge it!

Swapped my HVAC control unit so I wouldn’t have to drill through my original one to have a radio knob work after the 8 to 14in screen upgrade

I also just installed the DD reverse lights, but I went with the SS1's no cut with the 7 pin jumper. I like the small square vs the bigger rectangle. Super slick and easy install.

I also installed the engine shut off on/off switch bypass module. Never have to press that stupid button again.Screenshot_20240330-061803_Amazon Shopping.jpg

Need some help on the bed step install. First, there are two part numbers and apparently one made in China, one USA. I got the UsA one here’s the photos. PT392-34231. Instead of PTS3034000. The difference lies in the step and Allen wrench mechanism. There’s no square washers to insert into the step itself, and mostly, the three screws are NOT allen, they are some kind of star, without any tool in the box?? Any idea what tool should I use?

Those look like torx heads. More common in the European cars like the VW's that I had n the past.

They should be available at any tools store next to the allen head tools.
