I'm trying to work in front squats. My biggest problem is I'm a bitch and the bar kills my shoulders where it sits, lol.

    Have you tried using straps?
The lower back bends a little when you go down with no straps on. It effects the form and biggest cause of back injury that's why a lot of people avoid it.

My back squat numbers went up as well after doing front squats correctly.

What do you mean by using straps? Like on my wrists to hold it better?

Oh yeah, I know whatcha mean. I normall cross grip bc I don't have the elbow/wrist mobility for the normal grip. My problem is when the bar is close enough to me to hold it well, it's RIGHT in my bone. Oh well. I've only done it once or twice I'll keep playing and figure it out. Might need to hold further from my body.

I'm really digging the info on this website though

I encountered the same problem as you when I started front squats but after watching the video and following the routine, I got it right. Straps always helps and corrects your form. I hardly ever see any guys doing front squats at my gym. I do several variations of front squats like 1/2 front squat or 1 & 1/4 front squat and it burns the hell out of my quads and core. Makes back squat piece of cake after doing fronts.

Tnation.com is similar to lifters/trainers like tundras.com to tundra owners.
Lots of free theoretical and practical knowledge. I tansformed my body following this website.

Meeting with the sports surgeon tomorrow for a consultation. I guess the newly (since May) injured knee is the opposite knee I had surgery on. I'm pretty amazed how I called this afternoon and can get me in tmrw:thumbsup:

Best bet would be to work on your mobility, while using straps in the mean time. spend 15-20 minutes a day just stretching out your wrists and lats.

That sucks man, sorry to hear. I've torn an ACL and had 2 meniscus tears. I opted out of surgery for the meniscus as the only thing they can really do is trim away the tear and deteriorated parts.

Minor surgery, Im sure it'll be a piece of cake. Last time I woke up and had to pee. The nurse said if I use the restroom I have to call them to help me walk there.
A few minutes later I'm hobbling over and I remember her screaming "Mr. Anderson! Mr. Anderson! I told you if you needed to use the restroom to call us.”

I then asked my wife for ice cream. It was all sorts of fun times lol. Those pain meds they gave me via IV must have still been kicking in.

They're supposed to call me in the next two to three days to schedule it.

Good luck with surgery. Just let the nurse hold it so you can pee in the bed pan. Don't be shy.

I don’t remember what my nurse looked like for the vasectomy. I do remember our small conversation though.

“Does this feel ok, Mr. Anderson?”

-Sure. I’ve never had anyone scrub my balls before.

“Mr. Anderson, I am not scrubbing them. I am prepping with with xyz in preparation for your surgery.”

    -k.

Yessir. 2 hour prep, 1 hour surgery, 1-2 hour recovery post surgery, then around 1 week of at home recovery followed by 6 weeks PT.

On my other other knee they said crutches for 2 weeks...I used them for a couple of days and was done. Pain meds was supposed to be for a couple of weeks. That lasted maybe 2-3 days max.

I’m hoping I recover just as fast. I guess it all depends on what they think is also a tear in the meniscus, in addition to some inflammation around the knee.
