Sounds like timing problem based on that description. And that's scary, because failure to chang the timing belt is the one thing that will kill these engines.

But we need way more details, dude.

Is it the V6 or V8?

    Any recent maintenance?

When was the last time the timing belt was done?

    Is the timing set correctly?

Is check engine light on? If yes:
    • Is the light solid or flashing?
    • What codes are set?
Last, any symptoms before this started, like overheating, slow starts, anything?

It’s a v8 yes check engine light not flashing except just an hour ago for just a few sec. As for the codes the ignition coils code p0174 and p0171 system to lean bank 1&2 whatever that is. Mass or volume air flow circuit and intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit. So just put in new fuel pump new pcv valve new mass air flow sensor just did a break change in front.

I mean the mix of codes you have makes it sound like a bad ground or a harness problem. Have you tried running a temporary ground from the battery to the engine block? Did you check all the grounds? Do you have corrosion inside the battery cables?

So while driving it’s like some times it catches and will go but if you try to accelerate to much to fast it stops and lose rpm/power it don’t die just don’t accelerate

The intake air sensor is part of the mass air flow sensor. The MAF can cause non running problems.

What temperature is the incoming air temperature reporting?
How many CFM or g/s is the MAF reporting when its driving and when it stumbling?
Is your throttle position sensor reporting numbers that make sense?

Everyone here will just be spitballin' based on the limited info we have and the fact that your rolling a replacement engine installed by who knows who. Someone knowledgeable in these trucks and engines will need to be present to help you troubleshoot. Otherwise you'll be chasing your tail.

Wait - so the truck was sitting? How long, and where?

Have you checked for rodent damage in the usual places? If you don't know what I mean by "usual places", check this thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/so-you-wanna-buy-just-bought-a-1st-gen-tundra-eh.115928/

If you don't want to read the first two replies fully, search the 1st page for "rodent". You may need a snake camera to look under the manifold through the slot in the front. You may be able to look through the runners on the pre-VVTi models, not sure.
