    Hey guys,

So, I went to jump my 2014 Tundra and connected the jumper cables backwards. After removing, it wouldn’t start. I replaced the main fuse thinking that was blown but it wasn’t. I’ve checked all fuses and all are fine. I’ve moved on to checking relays and they all seem to be fine. Connecting power across the switch terminals and checking for continuity on the power terminals.

With the key on, I get all gauges, radio, lights, etc working. But get nothing when I turn the key to “start”.

Any trouble shooting manuals or FSMs for this model would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried to search the site but having difficulty finding the manual.

Thanks in advance for any input!

    I don’t think it is.

Also, I read Code P0335 “Crankshaft position sensor A Circuit Malfunction”. I cleared the code and tried to get it to throw again and couldn’t. No other codes at the moment.

    New photos attached.

    *** UPDATE ***

So, I ended up getting techstream on my laptop and didn’t find anything accept P1604 which is a failure to start. I was still getting all electronics and no crank when I turned the key over.

I decided to take the starter out and check it. What a pain the the royal bum!!!! Took all weekend.

I got it out and it tested great. The solenoid kicked the gear out and it spun just like it should. That led me to think that the starter wasn’t getting power. So I tested the power while my wife turned the key over. Got 12V on each line.

I decided the reinstall the starter and try it.
IT WORKED!!! I have no clue how reversing the terminals on the jump start made the starter do that??? I’m just glad that it’s fixed and didn’t cost tons of cash to get it going.

PS: The starter can be removed without taking off the exhaust manifold and without raising the engine block and without removing the transmission coolant lines. Shoot me a message if you need help getting it out.

The heat shields were a pain in the rear but worth not dealing with seized up exhaust.
    Thanks!
