I've had great luck with the Duplicolor ceramic caliper paint kit. I've done 4 cars or so over the last 10 years. One kit is enough paint to do 2 or 3 cars easily. I dremel, wire wheel, the rotor then clean with brake cleaner and a toothbrush.

It's brush on, I did 2 coats in an hour on each caliper, two calipers at a time. Key is getting the caliper prepped right, nice and clean then after paint you give it MORE than 24 hours to cure, I let mine sit for 48.

For sure. I can deal with a few miserable days of moving to live somewhere so much nicer for me and the family.

    Thank you!

This was a weekend project that spilled over to last night. QC on the Napa supplied seals is not up to par.

    The noise:

The issue....20 thou difference between Napa and OEM.

And a vid of how easy it was to remove...

Picked up my truck from the shop for the first repair I did not complete myself, the steering rack replacement.
Labor was $900 which IMO, well worth it. Total with OEM parts that I sourced, $1400 replacement. I’m not stoked on it but the bushings were really bad. I found a great deal on an oem rack for $380 so I just went with that. All new shocks, leaf springs, UCAs, tie rod ends and steering rack has me feeling brand new!

Thats far cheaper than when I had my steering rack replaced about a year ago. On mine, the TRs were seized and they couldnt adjust them for an alignment. Glad the truck is up to snuff now.

Why not just replace the bushing?

I just, after 9 days, received an email from RCI. They acknowledged the issues I experienced, apologized, and offered a partial refund against what I paid. My opinion of them is most positively increased.:fistbump:

Truck has 115k with hard off roading, tie rods were original and toast. Made more sense IMO to have the security of a new rack and inner/outer rods going into my next 100k. Also, I didn’t feel like tackling the stress of swapping the bushings myself.

How’s the fender flares holding up on the truck? I bought the same style, looks perfect for the truck, but the rears did not sit well and were warp. It didn’t mount on correctly. The front was perfect, fits great, but ended up taking them off. Where did you purchase your set from and what brand is that? Might consider giving it another try. Thanks.

Mine have been good! Been on since 2021 I think. These were from a seller on ebay that no longer has them in stock (theres a thread on here somewhere where we tried to find them recently). If I remember, I had to tighten the bolts in different ways to try and get one of my rear ones to sit nice and flush against the truck. Sometimes tighenting one bolt too much would prevent it from pressing up tight but you could try another bolt to "pull" it in. I also swapped the rubber seals that came with them to a wider one that is more like the bushwackers come with so that may have helped hide any imperfections in the fit

They are Roxx led projectors. Waiting to see how bright they are at night. Seemed bright enough during the day.

So after driving to work early this morning, I can say I don't believe the Roxx headlights are any brighter than the stock ones. They have a better range sure, but not any brighter. I'll probably upgrade the bulbs at some point. Still happy with them though. The reverse light on the PZ tail lights is much brighter than stock. Of course being LEd helps a lot.
