Props, though, to anyone who lives in that climate. I just put away all the jackets/hoodies/coats/gloves/ear&neck warmers/etc. that I took out of the back of the closet in mid-December when it got too cool for shirt sleeves. I don't need a tough constitution or all that extra equipment to stay alive, I just breathe in and out. If I want to go to the grocery store, I don't have a list of life-saving equipment to go over, I just jump in the truck and go. It's not just a hostile environment, it's also inconvenient.

Someone has to live in Alaska or Alberta. I'm just glad it's not me.

A man walked into a seafood restaurant and asked for a lobster tail.

The waitress smiled sweetly and said -
"Once upon a time, there was this handsome lobster..."

I feel the same away about people who live where it gets hot. 85+ degrees means I avoid doing much, if anything outside. I find the heat stifling and my motivation to get anything done is pretty much zero.

I'd like to live somewhere that doesn't get above 65 degrees in summer or colder than 15 degrees in winter. 3 months of decent snow, then it can fuck off. 4 distinct seasons. I don't think anywhere like that exists though...

I could totally be a snow bird when I retire, *shorts weather in January.
The temperature swings in Central WA are brutal, -10° to 110° are very common every year

I'm still keeping a hoody in my truck for the walk into work from the parking garage across the street in the morning, it's still mid 40s-50s a few days early.

Been in bed all night/day. Damn fever and cough again. Hoping sleeping and resting will have me on the mend by wednesday night when i go back to work. Already cleared working nights because I'm solo, so at least I don't need to burn sick pay.

    I blame you Tyler. @LarryDangerfield

Dude I'm hoping I'm good to go by Wednesday so I don't have to burn anymore vacation. Plus for someone who goes in the woods literally almost every single day this being stuck in the house thing has really sucked lol

A truck loaded with Vicks Vaporub overturned on the highway.

Amazingly, there was no congestion for eight hours.

Is there a dad joke about those imported grab handles? I'm waiting for there to be some sort of horror story that comes from that thread.

I get the intent of rule 14, but that's a hard one. Example, someone is literally gifted something and turns around and pawns it - DB move and the rule absolutely makes sense. Counter to that, if someone wins a raffle or other giveaway, are they not allowed to sell it? Perhaps it comes down to intent? I think the part that has me is "at a specific price" and "we'll let you know if you messed up". I'm sure I'm missing something, so don't mind me. Just my .02 as a guy who gets spears thrown at them on a regular basis for rules and policies.

Yeah - tough one. But "peddling broken shit you got replaced on warranty" is apparently within some people's moral compass...

That's pretty shitty, but not surprising. Just another reminder that if you don't want to be disappointed, lay your expectations on the floor.

To be fair to my fellow married brothers...I think I got Husband of the Year on lock. Just upgraded the wife's tickets to Paris to business class.

You've been warned with 10 months to go...

I say this half jokingly, but I don't buy her things.

She gives me an allowance and she works more hours when she tells me she wants something. It's a luxury I've found since she became the breadwinner (paid hourly) and me being on salary.

Congrats on Paris, though! She's been asking for that trip for years (both kids are also taking French in school) but she needs to wait for retirement for that one.

LOL....that pretty much zero'd out my Alaska Miles. I've gotten well over 300,000 miles over the years and I'm down to 3,200 now. That's over a lot of trips, not just this one. My year looks pretty busy so I should be back up pretty quick.

Cannot take the miles to the grave!
