How is this even questionable? The rubber bellow (or whatever you call it) is torn completely around it. Replace.

You can also blue locktite the inner tie rod threads into the rack too.

The mangler is back for his crown. I have new outers sitting in the garage waiting to replace mine which also have torn rubber.

How hard was it to remove?

Wish I had read this 5 minutes before. Do you recall how tight the inners need to be?

Too easy apparently. Really not sure that I mangled the boot. I'll take the blame for the tip but I'm not sure how the boot tore.

I absolutely loved my 50 series flowmaster on mine. Was great for about 16 years then started to rust out. Had a great sound.

Tight. I don't recall a torque spec, but if you have a big crowsfoot that fits it you can torque them.

Put my cluster back in before bulbs came. Hate the green led backlight. Gonna try amber or white I think. Picked up some fire maple that my wife bought and brought it home. At least the truck drives great.

just in case, I know I've asked before, anyone know if the vss wire is available in one of these cluster connectors and if so which one?

Installed a Redarc brake controller today. The control knob required some significant grinding to fit into the narrow switch blank. Seriously, why didn't Toyota use their standard switch size in the First Gen?

Amber should look good. My 03 Taco came stock with amber and I liked it. Went well with the white face gauges.

Tip for anyone replacing your steering rack bellows. Make sure you know which part# goes with each side. They look very close and once you put the wrong one on, it takes some force to remove. I controlled my mangling tendencies this time.

Also, a pipe wrench and jack handle make quick work of the inner tie rods.
