Thank you @FirstGenVol and @shifty` for the Birmingham over Decatur suggestion. Moved all 62 items over in the cart. What’s crazy, it’s $50 cheaper

WIN! I need to run up an order with them too. But I need to figure out my pads and shims situation before I can do it. Hopefully the sale is going on another day or two, I won't be able to get to it tonight.

I love Serra is back to doing zero tax again. It makes a whopping difference.

It wasn't even a resolution, and I was concerned after that long, he would've charged me for restocking or made me wait 6 more months to get the right part out.

I bought a replacement from my closest dealership and picked it up in person and paid the extra tax and 3% more. I've been trying to find a new home for the other splash guard (I think it's up for sale in Marketplace, buried in the pile) ever since, probably going on almost a year now.

Oh, I picked up a pair of steps for a 5th gen Taco today for $0. Came off of a used car that they sold and the new owner didn’t want them.

My skid plate already shipped. Is a step bit the best tool for frame drilling? I remember it took forever to drill holes for my sliders without one.

Carbide bit for pilot hole then step bit works good for thicker metal but YMMV. I just hate eating up the tips on my step bits.

I’ve always gone with Irwin, because they’re inexpensive, and they actually last a really long time. They’re just not great at starting holes. I haven’t seen this PF vid yet though so now I’m curious.

Man, the price of Irwin stuff has gone up! And that Temo bit is pretty impressive at about the same cost (actually less, only $32 right now).

Any of the new stepped tip drill bits. Pricey but awesome. Astro pneumatic has decent priced sets. Any of the american drill bit mfg like norseman make really nice ones.

Low speed and applying some pressure with a sharp bit is key. Too fast, no pressure or dull bit will work harden (overheat) the metal and make it a pita.

Thinking I might go ahead and order new front end parts, while this deal is going on and put it on credit for now.
I'm a bit confused though, they have "right lower suspension ball joint" for $132, " joint assy lwr ball" for $78, "cover lower ball joint dust" for $15... naturally no pics. So is the $132 one everything I need for that side LBJ or do I need to buy everything separately?

Find the part number you need in this thread. Past it in the Toyota part number search bar. It’ll populate the correct one.

+1 on that model Denso radiator. Put 1 in years ago and still running strong.

What is recommendation on replacing LBJs if already replaced under recall in 2005 at 36,000 miles but now at 147,000 miles with no signs of play. Keep running them or replace?

My 13WL Rotors from Toyota for the 2003 AC 4x4 V8 was part 43512-0C011 but look like Advics A6F004U Disc Brake Rotor at RockAuto and other online. However, currently with the 25% sale looks like can pick them up from Toyota (Dekatur) for about $56 each.

Some dealers don't show the recall kits. Have found 04005-21134 for 03 AC 4x4 v8 at several places though normally discounted and not part of this 25% sale, for instance is at Orisman for $192. The 25% sale for the individual LBJs (like 43340-39485 and 43330-39605) at places like autoparts.serratoyota.com (Birmingham, AL) looks like it only saves about $8 off the previously available kit price.

You're overdue. They aren't known to show any symptoms before they fail. I would order new ones and new bolts.

Are you adding the item to your cart? The discount is applied at checkout bringing the price on that one to $101.

I feel dumb trying to navigate the parts website. Not sure how y'all know you're ordering the right thing when there's no pictures and inconsistent language.
I'm expecting to see inner and outter tie rods left and right (4 separate pieces) but I do not.
I'm tempted to buy the necessary parts for GX brake upgrade but I still have research to do to figure out which parts I need. I guess those can wait for the next big sale, as I don't even have 17's yet.

Edit: ok I'm starting to get the hang of this. I think I got it

Now I just gotta figure out which parts I need for wheel bearings and I should be set.

Yep, treat those as a wear item. Most have us have longer back when we didn't know better, but probably 100k - 125k replacement best.
