Harrop uses the same SC rotor design/size as the new Magnuson 2650. I'm a fan of their IC design and easy access to the fuel rails personally, but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Whichever you choose, make sure you get it tuned properly.

Speaking of tuning, has anyone done any Maggy 2650 datalogs at low elevation to see how that tune is? We know the OG Maggy tune is lacking and the Harrop stage 1 (no actual tune) is garbage.

Main reason why I got mine. Extra power for mountains esp with big lift and tires

Also magnuson does a basic tune for you. Once you get the kit you olug into your obd and download the stock claibration file and you send it to them. They put the adjustments in for fuel etc and send it back. Then you flash it over and done. You can also pay MONEY and get a custom tune.

Curious also about low elevation logs on Maggie stock map. Mine was riddled with knock and ran lean as hell, into the 12's. And I'm at 5k

Anyone know what size the stock pulley is on the 2650 magnuson?

Here was a log with my Maggie provided tune at around 1100 elevation. Not ideal by any means. This was on the 1900, not sure if they've made any changes in comparison to the 2650.

Im at 7k ft elevation. But we travel to oregon once or twice a year which is around 4500. Im looking for a mild one just to bump some psi but when I get to lower alt its not gonna hurt anything

The 76 gives you a nice bump at 7k and is still drivable at lower elevations as long as you take it easy

76mm you shouldn't need to tweak the tune and the injectors you have should be fine. @helidave goes to a lot lower elevation than that without swapping the pulley and is fine. If you don't want to fiddle with stuff, that's what I would do. Even though the 70mm at higher elevation shouldn't need much support, I would be wary of recommending it without saying that injectors and a tune would possibly be required. The 76mm is much more of a install and not worry since it's not a large bump at high elevation.

Taking it easy means not doing wide open throttle pulls to redline.

If the lowest you go is 4500' you shouldn't have any issues. Like snivilous said, I've had mine down to like 1500' with the 76mm and everything was fine, even doing some short WOT runs to get datalogs it was nowhere near maxxed out.

Doubt 4500ft is lowest. Im in az so we go up through vegas and north from there, through reno, corner of cali and into oregon. At some point I want to take my family across country. My moms side is in Ohio. Id like to show them everything ive seen as a kid

@snivilous do you know what belt is required when moving to your 76mm pulley on the Maggie 2650?

I think everyone is running the Dayco K081145 and it fits both the 76mm and 70mm.

@Wynnded did a good write up here on options:

Are you running a wideband AFR gauge? Most with the SC will run one to help them know if they are running lean when on it. Ideal is the 10.1 to 10.5 and above 11.0 can lead to problems. Most run a combo boost/afr setup.

In that case I would definitely do the 76mm. The 70mm would require pretty huge injectors to be able to survive in Las Vegas. Even my setup which is similar to the 70mm with 715cc injectors and I am cautious to use much WOT in Las Vegas since it'll push past 10psi easily which gets into the danger zone of what the engine can handle imo.

Flip side is, you can always run a small pulley and just swap in the OEM pulley before a trip. That is the beauty of the quick change.

Thanks. Any reason not to go heavy duty?
5081145 Is $20 vs the regular one being about $60. Decent diff and heavy duty one is less.

I would get the heavy duty one then. I think @Wynnded only suggested running that one since it's what the part store had for him locally so there was proof it works. But I've never run the 2650 so I have no first hand experience ironically hahaha

Haha ok right on. Your prev post about 10psi being max for this motor…has me concerned now about change out to 76mm at sea level. I just went wot and see 8-9 psi. Def don’t want to blow up my motor in search of a tighter butt clench
