Built this real quick over the weekend to finally do a better job of cleaning under my truck after muddy trips and such. Worked pretty well but gonna extend the bottom piece a bit to get under the truck easier.

The content on their channel is more solid than most, for single-person stuff. I don’t actively sub to it, but the videos I’ve seen - especially the windshield polishing vid - were all pretty solid.

I'm not allowed to hot rod dads ranger. I've tried talking him into taking it to 24h of lemons, but its a no-go. If we're gonna build a prerunner it needs to be a 1uz 2wd tundra.

Mostly did Parker prep today. Cleaned the interior and scrubbed a few stains out of the carpet, also cleaned up the engine bay some. Got my inverter wired to a switch again. Mounted the roof rack basket. Crawled under the truck and did a quick inspection underneath. Still need to fix one of my air lines that's leaking.

Finished disassembling my donor front differential. It wouldn't fit in a crate with whatever the hell pinion flange was on it. The Makita impact wouldn't bust the staked nut on the world's longest pinion flange, but the nut was no match for the plug-in impact. You'll need to buy a female torx socket set with an E12 socket to remove the ADD tube/ stub shaft. A 12-point socket will just round the bolt head. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JFJD53J?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Need to remove the old drain/fill plugs and clean up the stub shaft mounting surface, then it's good to go.

That’s a snazzy red milk crate…… ours are mostly green and shades of green out here, I’ve seen a few sweet teal colored ones too

Did front brakes (pads and rotors were due) with Toy parts (Advics as it turns out) and yes plan another spring clip on bottom of caliper.

Adjusted rears, and shoes look like they're coming up at some point for first time replacement at 247K miles with the slimmest part still about 3 mm (.012").

Drum IDs are 295.32-295.35 mm well within spec (realize that's not measured in a groove with a drum caliper but definitely not deep to be out of spec if turned).

Probably need to learn to search the forum better but didn't find recommendations from experience on the FGT of just swapping in OEM shoes, turning the original drums, or replacing the drums with the shoes?

Question? Why does it seem like no one runs slotted rotors on our trucks? I fully intend to, but I also intend on using the truck with a 15.5ft car hauling trailer, hence the 4.08 gears. And a rear locker st some point.

Slotted rotors are asking for warpage. Smooth rotors have more surface area.

Not sure how they would. Well out side heavy track use. Vented slotted rotors do cool faster than a solid face vented and they help displace brake pad dust.
