    No.

Dealer filter is made at the Denso filter plant in USA.

The ebay filter (assuming that its real) is aftermarket Denso and made in China. Part is combined with the 4Runner V8 air filter which has slightly different dimensions.

Aftermarket Denso is rarely the same quality as
    OE Toyota/Denso.

To my knowledge it’s the same exact part. I buy Denso parts when they are available. Avoid buying from Amazon and ebay there is a lot of counterfeit parts on there. Buy your Denso parts from Rockauto.com for about 11$

Dealer filter is USA made. Aftermarket Denso is made in China. They are not the same exact part.

Whichever filter you purchase, make sure it fits the air filter box well and that it will seal properly on the edges. Some do, and some don’t.

OEM Toyota filters are produced on a different production line than Aftermarket filters, but yes Denso does make both of them. And no, they are not the same quality.

I'd be more concerned that anything purchased on eBay are actually knock offs. I got counterfeit Denso Spark plugs off eBay before I knew any better.

Best to buy air filters directly from a Toyota dealership. Typically you'll get a better price if you use one of the online dealers that are more competitive than your local dealer. Serra Toyota of Birmingham is who I used most recently.

Came here to say this, “counterfeit warning” / “grey market warning”.

@Rafael too many folks on here have gotten knockoff parts shopping on scAmazon and fleaBay. You’d either be a gambler or a moron to order parts from any vendor who either (A) allows unknown 3rd parties to sell items on their platform or (B) doesn’t have full control over their supply chain, i.e. they let external entities direct-ship OR they allow 3rd parties to send items to their warehouse to be stocked, held, and shipped. There are plenty of other vendors who do this like WallMart, Sears, NewEgg, and a host of others.

Buy your car parts from a vendor who is trustworthy and whose reputation would be ruined if caught selling knockoffs. RockAuto and Summit Racing are great options who often beat scAmazon’s pricing, and you can often find coupons for extra savings at RetailMeNot.com

Thanks to all people that gave me great advice. I understand the risk of buying knockoff filters. Better to pay a little more and have real parts.

    Thanks
