Thought the grill would be more durable, but guess it isn’t. Clean break all the way through (pushed it back for the pic).

Debating on using it as an excuse to replace it with a TRD Pro grill. Anyone else have damage on theirs?

Yea, unfortunately. Can’t wait to spend $350 on that dang garnish.

And that’s why I didn’t go with a TRD pro grill. The 350 dollar garnish pissed me off.

Where you located? Someone may have just an insert near you in case you don't want to go to the pro grille.

Salvage yard? Lots of these trucks get totaled in rear end collisions.

BTW, hardware cloth in front of the condenser will keep it from getting dented and clogged by bugs and other things. Cold A/C and good engine cooling airflow are worth the investment.

Ouch. I hit a duck flat on in fight while I was driving at 55mph - hard enough to leave an ACME/Duckhunt squawking duck imprint on the grill and some feathers - but I was surprised to see the grill perfectly intact. Later, some doofus was spitting 2x4 cutoffs out the back of his flatbed on the highway one night (dodge owners… sheesh); I was lucky enough to catch one in the grill. Broke part of the horn, but the grill AGAIN remained intact.

Was this you “hitting a rock” with your grill?

Surprised to see that the sensor cover is more expensive than the grill.

    Thanks!

That’s really aggravating though. That stupid sensor cover is ridiculously overpriced and it’s the reason I went with a platinum grill on my 1794. Now if the sensor or grill gets messed up both parts have to be replaced.

And why on earth would they change it at the end of the production run? That’s bonkers.

    Easy money

I'd assume its now similar to more of their other sensors so it makes producing them cheaper, but that is wild speculation and I've done no research. But yeah, it makes no sense to change it and the grille insert for the last few years
