It's honestly not that hard at all. Have you ever installed a stereo? If so this will be easy. If you watch that guys 3 part movie it will be cake. I recommend using positaps and you will be golden.

@be77solo I had to pull out the evo one brain from my truck today. While it was out, i wanted to see if my truck would still start. Well what do you know, it still starts with the brain unplugged/removed from the vehicle!

Finished install and it was easier than I expected. Happy with the results.

Im really liking this hold to start feature too. Better than 3x lock. I only use it within earshot of truck starting though, no rf remote for me. Maybe down the road. So many mods, so little monies.

With the RF remote, it is hold down the remote start button 3 seconds to start. It beeps back and you and green LED activates to confirm truck received the signal. Pretty cool feature that I know if the truck received the signal or not from inside a building. Overall range seems to be Ok. Seems like when there are buildings in the way, the range is limited. Still a lot better than OE remote but I'm not getting the 3500' they advertise. Maybe more like 1500' at most. Either way its much more convenient than the OE remote. Especially with the ease of install, 1 wire harness and thats it!

Can anyone confirm if all the factory functions still work like seat and steering memory and does the heater kick on like expected?

When remote starting, memory recall does not work. I have to press the memory button to get my steering wheel to its location. I don’t use easy access on the seat so that doesn’t move unless someone moves it. @mcoyken

Yeah, same with my steering wheel. Sometimes I forget to hit memory 1 when I get in and then when I stop I have to throw it into Park and push the button.
@mcoyken , if the heater (or A/C) is turned on when you get out of the truck, it will come back on when you remote start.

Just ordered mine pre-flashed. Going to use the OEM remote (attached garage at home and it reaches the parking lot at work).

Is there anything special with the install that will prevent the engine from turning off when I unlock/open the door (like with the OEM remote start)? Disclaimer: I don’t currently have the OEM RS.

If you bought it from the same guy i bought it from, he programs it not to shut off when the door opens. It can be programmed to do that but nobody turns that on. Just install it and you are good to go.

One thing I forgot about to say about the RF remotes is that it has a 1-2 second delay once you press a button. Because it received it first than sends the signal to the trucks computer. Having the 2 way and extra distance is still worth it.

Nah, the range of the factory fob is good enough for me.

Yup. I put it on my Camry I liked it so much! Super simple install but has many options if you choose to. I hate cutting oem wiring and this does the least destruction of all remote starts. Well besides Toyota but we all know theirs suck.

Love my EVO ONE. I combined it with crimestopper mycar so I can start from my phone anywhere (where there is cell service).

Would you be able to help me out and let me know what wires you tapped into for the MyCar module. I got the remote start installed but wasn’t sure about the wires for the mycar. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine was strictly plug and play with the harness. I didn't use any of the loose wires on the mycar module. Make sure to have your app all setup on your phone with serial number entered prior to trying to connect with module.

I didn’t know about this option! I might have considered this method. Where’d you buy it from and how much is the unit and how much is the service fees?

That’s such a good deal. Then only $29 a year. I once had viper smart start. That is a rip-off! And had a long delay with commands.

@Ben_onewise wheres the best palace to buy this from?
