That should be metal. Mine looked the same and it wasn’t plastic. May kinda look that way.

That casting seam at 10 o'clock is suspect as hell. And that marbling is pretty typical for cheap plastic. Maybe they used a 3d printed (or plastic cast) for the mold.

Maybe it’s die cast metal. Kinda like the transformer miniatures or hot wheels cars from Child World or Toys-R-Us. :notsure:

It was actually better than Toys-R-Us for being a smaller store with everything you could want and to avoid the bigger malls with more people traffic. Went bankrupt in the 80s-90s.

I just remember 1/2 the stuff you really wanted had to be pulled by a store employee on a sliding ladder since they stocked toys from floor to ceiling.

Are you saying it looks like plastic? I'm not seeing it. Confirmed it's metal.

It was on my list, but someone recommended Mr & Mrs. Smith before I got bombarded on Loudermilk, so we started watching it instead. 4 episodes in at the moment, we may switch to Loudermilk sooner than later.

I'm not sure I like it. I'm enjoying the chemisty, but I haven't managed to sink into it yet. There was another show, Beef, that I had similar issues getting into.

I really don't seem to be enjoying content these days. And all the streaming providers seem reeeeeeeaaally proud of their content, to the point it seems like they're more interested in have 5 million "whale" subscribers at a ridiculous subscription rate than 30 million subs at an approachable rate.

I really need to sit down and reassess. At least with Prime, there's a bundled benefit (music, shipping/shopping, video/movie), and with Apple it's similar (xtra storage, music, TV/streaming, etc.) but Netflix, Disney+, I think we dropped the latter and I'm about two shakes away from dumping Netflix right now. I think we may switch to only Spotify, Hulu (for live and streaming), Prime, and Apple in the near future. I've also gotta figure out what to do for cell service in the next month or two. I've got the oldest on T-Mo (my preference) for Apple Watch so we can stay in touch without the allure of a phone screen, I may setup a fam plan with them and move over. Wonder if they'll buy out my current work phone, or maybe gimme a new one?

I highly suggest YellowJackets, I was confused AF the first episode but it’s a good series

See I think Prime is a rip off. Two day shipping is no longer consistent from what I hear and they give me free shipping on most orders without it. I try to support them as little as possible.

If you're happy with T Mobile and spend a lot of time on WiFi, Mint Mobile is solid. I've paid $45/month for 3 phones for the last 5 years. Downside is 4gb of 4/5G before throttling.

Pandora decided to give me some high school nostalgia today.

Things change pretty significantly when you have a family of 4, and a MIL who wants side perks. When you have 4 people in your house shopping, and you pay one fee for the entire household (which is the same as a single-person fee), it's a huge savings, just in shipping alone. As long as you're not buying stuff that's readily available locally (which is usually 10-40% more as a "laziness fee", it seems), it's totally worth it on free shipping alone, even if that ends up being +1 day or +2 days. But usually we get stuff in 24-48 hours. Add in video/music streaming and other perks, and it's pretty damn compelling compared to just Netflix, which gives me no perks.

If I could be boning all day long, I’d both be in far better cardio shape, and wouldn’t have time to drink.

This is one of the things I love the most about our trucks. It’s got such a perfect balance of cab and bed.

    Trucks these days…
