Poll: headlights

I'm having doubts about which headlights to go with. My headlights are done for, and one of my markers is cracked.



I bought a pair of the black headlights about 2 years ago and never put them in. These ones:



Now I'm not sure how well they would fit the build type I'm going for over some new clears. I'm not going for anything flashy at all. I washed my truck last year after T2S and haven't again since. I like my missing wheel caps. I like my missing clear coat. I like my broken door handle. Hell, I'd leave the nasty lenses in if I could make em brighter. I'm just not sure what would be better for my busted ass front end.

Hard to say what would look best on yours, but the nasty ones gotta go!

I need to replace the cheap housings I put on the Sequoia a few years ago, they're already shot.
I've had these on my Scamazon list for a while, a good mix of black and clear. They don't have good reviews so they could look like dog shit in person!

Black is best

 

I'll buy your black one next time we meet if you still have em. Unless Casey beats me to em. They'd be great for our black tundras.

 

Smoked headlights look good on everything

 

Whatever you buy aftermarket (I'm partial to the ones with the blacked out surrounds) get a ceramic coating kit and hit em with the ceramic wipe to protect them. The Colight miniprojectors in those housings is what I'll do next.

You should paint the rockers flat black.
Kinda like the police ghost cars have black paint with a slightly different shade of black letters or they also do the same with white. Hell I've seen em do ghost cars with other colors too like grey or tan

Also do black TRD bedside decals.

I am going to go against the grain here and say black headlights are unattractive. I'd rather rock the nasty faded headlights than some with black housings...

I agree with you on this one. Unless there's a cohesive smoked/black theme already going on. We do have one 1st gen member on here (in AZ?) with a burgundy truck that went blackout/smoke on everything and it actually looks good. (edit: But I've seen others with the black housings alone and it looks like ass)

 

Gold tint on the lenses. Get some KC hi lites if you wanna see at night.

 

Alright I'll say it. Those black housings look cheap. They look like something teenage me would have purchased.

 

My vote is for clear housings. You should tie all 4 of your old housings together and drag em behind your truck though. Post up vids of them disintegrating

get clear corners and clear headlight housing with leds. they look the best imo and git it a new modern look

 

@bmf4069 you put black housings or clear corners on that truck i'll show up while you're at work and install these. And i have an extension cord & a welder.

 

I like almost everything black. Just not my toast or my poop. Those are just weird.

but to the op, black housings for sure.

 

I know why you have the taillights and the rims, but why do you have the fart cannon?
