For us peasants without the front camera, is there a way to add one and make it work?

Are you talking about the OEM dash cam? There’s a thread on this already. It can be done.

My bad my truck came with the OEM dash camera. I am talking about the front camera that mounts in the grille and comes up on the screen.

There is a thread on this too somewhere…hit the search and it will come up sooner or later.

I had thought about it too then decided it wasn’t worth my money then just yesterday my neighbors dog decided to camp right at the edge of my driveway and didn’t want to move as I was pulling in…that’s when this idea came back to me also.

If it isn't too involved, adding the camera(s) would make a huge improvement when navigating in tight spaces. I wasn't sure what to expect when we got our truck but the first time the surrounding pictures popped up on the screen, we were sold!

There is a thread on this product. You can search for “FRAC Harness”.

    Here’s the website:
    https://www.fracharness.com/

I want to do this, just need to find the time to work on it and then I’ll order one.

I am sure someone will count out with a camera. I was just hoping something was released already.

Anyone able to come up with a solution to this one yet, looks like trail grid pros do not have one out yet still

still searching, no luck. May call up some engineer buddies in the auto industry to get this thing going. I poked the guys at trailgridpro and they said its in the works with no eta. not sure how much of that is true.

I'm in the same boat just picked up a 24. Love the truck but I'm having trouble in tight spots pulling forward enough. Hope there is a solution now that I have a heritage grill with the camera slot to potentially support it.

If anyone is in the northern Utah area, I’ll give you my TRD grille take off to get you a step closer (not the Pro grille).

I would love to add a front camera, especially for that chick fil-a drive thru. The one near my house is so dang tight it's almost impossible to navigate with a full size truck.

I'm even considering getting one of those cheap aftermarket back up cameras mirrors. To my understanding, my SR5 doesn't have any type of auto-dimming rearview mirror so swapping it out for an aftermarket mirror with a screen isn't a downgrade at all. The only issue is I need to figure out how to make the screen show the camera when I want it to. Maybe I'll add a button or something on the dash.

I’m using a Garmin BC40 camera paired with a Drivesmart 55. Using a roam off-road mount for the display. It’s has terrible view but works (camera angle is not wide enough. Mostly gets front coverage and not corners). I’m all in it for $150 (used off eBay). Took some creativity to mount it with eye bolts and zip ties. Could work on other grills if you fabricated a mounting plate

this is a great idea. How does the wireless functionality work. I'm looking for something I can quickly turn on if I need so in a parking lot last second. Was always curious how good wireless is on these.

I'm waiting on the folks (folk...singular...pretty sure it's just @TundraTex) at FRAC Harness to get their hands on some 3rd Gen wiring harnesses. Hopefully, now that we're well into year 3 of the 3rd Gen, it won't be too much longer.

Edit: You can see the setup on their website: HOME OF THE FRAC HARNESS – LG Technology

Did anyone see that the frac harness is working with the 2024 sequoia? So, if it works for that, wouldn’t it work for the 24 tundra?

It was on their website.FRACHARNESS. If you click on the new truck one, it doesn’t say tundra on the link but once you click it, it says 2020-2024 sequoia.
It would be great to be able to have the front camera. Finally justify the Trd pro grill, haha. think it would work?

I may disassemble my dash and see what the rear connectors on the screen look like. If they match the ones on Frac's website, then they might work.

That would be awesome if you did that and let me know. I have a 14 inch dash, non jbl. Do you think it matters what head unit we have?
