Damn it. Ha! Glacier White...boring, but easy to deal with. My black 14 looked great for 10 minutes after a good detail as in pointless unless a mall crawler...ha

this run has 4 well fed Texans in the car.

    drag mode - yes
    Cheetah stance - no.

    max power - check
    max output - check
max speed - I chickened out after the 3rd second of 1g.

done on the hwys of Mexico...of course.

    ponder this:

how often have EVER accelerated over 1g for over one second? rollercoaster is 1 second. what else is there?

    much less 3 straight seconds.

ICE will rarely do it....because you have to switch gears.

and you can go buy one on your phone!

    and it never needs service.

try that in a hot rod ICE.

The acceleration is sick, but it still doesn't have any soul. It's like a fast elevator.

The lack of stuff to break, mechanically at least, is appealing. Not a fan that it's just a mobile computer. I've had plenty of experience with computers having random stupid problems. There's an anxiety there for me with Teslas.

ICE's have multiple computers. that fail. often.

our gmc trucks got bricked because of brake modules ... for 4 months.

    Ram trucks...same thing. 2 months

    I concur on the soul.
but, adapt or die comes to mind.

barking at our taillights is not a good look.

Imagine spending $10-100k+ tuning your car to get it to run 10’s, and have something break. Nope
Too much power and not realizing it on the track until that drive shaft gives out. Oof

Just stating preference on the soul bit. Not "barking at taillights" or anything.

The computer issues in ICE vehicles doesn't strengthen the case for EVs. It's just confirmation that any vehicle fully dependent on a computer is vulnerable to total failure for non-mechanical reasons.

That's an extremely small percentage of buyers, and those spending that to mod a rig know the risks. EVs win at the drag strip. :deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

That means so very little to 90% of vehicle owners that it's not a factor. The way Tesla structured stuff and fought to prevent people from having a right to repair their own vehicles is way more important than drag times, IMO.

not EV related, but the old tires had flat spots from sitting to long.

so I got new tires & some flatspot preventers from race ramps.
