22 Short Bed UWS toolbox

    So I was going to get a UWS crossover toolbox for my 22 Tundra short bed that I just picked up. I went to their website to make sure I get the correct box since it is a short bed and nothing came back matching through their vehicle finder. So I emailed their support and the response I got is attached.

    I guess this is their way of distancing themselves from possible issues with the composite bed? Has anyone actually had issues going with a traditional crossover toolbox with these trucks? Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Drilling holes in the composite bed should not cause corrosion, so you could go that route. Alternately... Does the truck have bed-rails? Maybe mount the side/back of the box into t-nuts in the bed-rail (may need to make custom spacers).

    check out and call uws they have one that will work if you don't want it over the bed rails and i am pretty happy with mine! If you need further info check out Pete @ truck accents in Tennessee
