I plan to install one of these splitters/adapter on my mirror connector which will allow me to power my dash cam from the mirror. I am thinking from the USB-A female to use a USB Y splitter and power 2 devices from the mirror, instead one, power my dash cam but also my radar detector. Am I pushing it? Has it been done? Am I going to blow the fuse? And which fuse will that be?

This will allow me to do a very clean install for my dash cam and radar around the review mirror with very nice and clean wiring around it.

Looks like your research is much more advanced than mine and is not just a simple plug and play :) I guess I will just have to trial and error and let you know how I am progressing

@JohnWhicker did you ever do you install with the TGP adapter? I'm about to do the same and wanted to see if it was plug & play or if there were issues?

Sorry, I never responded to this thread. Is plug and play and works perfect with my dashcam. I wish they had a black color to blend in with everything else as the white sticks out but it is what it is now. I may take it out and paint one of these days.

Thanks! Yes I got mine and agree, the white connectors would be much better black! I may paint mine before installation. Appreciate the reply!
