Hello all and happy New Year. Anyone run a trickle charger on their truck they don't run daily? Trying to keep miles down on my 21 CM trail and run my 2012 Camry daily. Thirty two mpg says it all. Thoughts on a batt maintainer? Thanks

I'm a fan of the battery minder products, an Electrical Engineering buddy of mine got me hooked 20 years ago.

Some Costcos have the Battery Tender on a clearance price. Like $19.99 or so.

    I use a Noco also.

I ran one of the leads from the battery to a Noco quick connect that is zip tied near the lower centre of my grill. Easy charger plug in when needed.

    Cheers

Liking this idea. Thinking of making a drop cord type thing of the secondary leads, mounting unit overhead in the rafters of carport. Screw in hooks or something for cord management when not in use. Recpt for 120v already installed. Leaning toward the Genius 2. First project 2024!

I wonder which ones are bad ones to avoid? There is no bad ones? I never experienced any bad ones last 30 years.

I use a Battery Tender trickle charger daily on my trailer battery. Also use it to top off my car batteries from time time to time, works great. Like said above, Costco has them for cheap. I also keep a NOCO jumper in my cars just in case. Both are great.
