Looking at a used 23 SR5, it doesn’t have factory heated seats. Is it possible to add them?

Yes, katzkin sells a kit to go with their seat covers. I had it done to my SR. Its not quite the same as factory, but it gets the job done.

There are many inexpensive universal kits available on Amazon that work pretty well. The hard part with those is R&Ring the seat covers which can be difficult if you have never done it. I would link the kit I put in my Tacoma but that one is no longer available.

I’ve seen a few pre 2022 tundras that had “aftermarket” heated seats added. Didn’t know what the process was or how hard it was to do but was interested if affordable and easy.

The kits are not super expensive, the good ones are maybe $100 for both front seats. You also need some basic and cheap car upholstery tools like a set of hog ring pliers. The hog rings are a bit of a learning curve, but not rocket science. Alternatively, you might be able to pay an auto upholstery shop to install the heating pads. The rest of the install is just switched and unswitched 12V and installing the switches. On my Tacoma I mounted the switches on the center console and stashed the controllers underneath the rear of the console.

Local shop that did mine put it in the side of the seat, kind of regret that decision by them with how often the seat panels are busting lol (and mine is starting to)
