Wtf, who started smoking crack at Toyota back in '94? Honestly, the 2UZ would've probably been much more appealing to the aftermarket if the conrods were that beefy.

We do beans and greens here. Usually pink eye peas, conch peas, or similar, here lately I've been making a lot of hoppin' john. Collards, turnip greens, mustard greens, whatever's on hand. And cornbread or corn muffins.

MitsubOshi, not MitsubIshi. Mitsuboshi is legit. That's what's in my truck, PO used the Aisin kit, and the last TB change was from a time prior to scAmazon and fleaBay had the market saturated with fake parts.

not what this engine is built for. The engine doesnt overpower the trans, and the trans doesnt overpower the t-case & diffs, unless you try. As much as my truck wants more power, its never needed power. Even hauling 5500 lbs, and the '04 sequoia hauled 8k. Wasnt a rocket ship, but didnt need to be. Keep the rods & pistons light, keep the ports small and the valve lift low... think of it as an overbuilt v6 that happens to be a v8.

Hoppin John, greens and cornbread would be traditional low country SC New Years cuisine. Said to bring luck for the coming year.

So my dad got me a gift card to Cabela's. I've never had such a hard time spending money. Their prices are high.

    What do people buy there?

I bought a pair of seatback rifle and ammo holders. They attach to the front seats and allow for at least 2 rifles to be stored across them. Kinda like these, but Camo with more storage pouches

I sometimes see they have decent camping stuff, ala Camp Chef and others.

But I'm mostly buying tackle there if I get gift cards. I don't think you like to fish like I like to fish, though. Hell, I wish I got to fish more often. I really don't get to fish enough.

When I was a kid, I used to hit up Cabelas for their mixed bags of stuff. It was fun to get to experiment. Not sure they do that anymore. I personally prefer Bass Pro Shops.

Cabelas owns the BPS or vice versa now. Same company.

That's the first section I went to but their cheapest 9mm was .30/ round. I can buy it for less elsewhere. This may be my last resort.

I don't have long guns in the truck often enough for this.

That's neat. I don't think I would use it but I can see the value.
I don't fish. I could use some new camping chairs though. Who was it that had awesome camping chairs? @des2mtn and @Voss ?

Voss had the sweet hammock kinda thing but he said it got discontinued for a worse model. I think @TRDFerguson had the magic chairs, but we missed the show

Ya. This was a sad event. Went to buy a couple of these as Xmas gift but they had a weird Wish.com version. I checked reviews of the new version and they were full of folks complaining about ripped straps resulting in people getting hurt. I asked if the old version was available and the workers at big 5 said it may come back cause the new version was already being discontinued.

Huh, looks strangely identical to this one on fleaBay:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/115165167699

Here's other versions of the same:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/304283477852
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/385044487101
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/313813870196
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/384647309055
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/304283492855
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/384647287439

Leads me to believe they were probably selling that same version, but stopped carrying, maybe for legal reasons? I'm going to bet at least 4 out of the 7 links I just provided are basically fronts for the same warehouse in mainland China.

I also found this alternate version that doesn't have mesh thru the middle but looks nearly the same, but lacks any of the safety strapping to the middle of the frame:
