Dropped it off at 8, picked up at 4pm. Not sure what the recall calls for

Thanks man!! I knew I was adding some of the TRD Pro touches (shift knob, dash trim, and the steering wheel is next) and i wanted to try and tie it all together.

Nope, took another look and it seems like it was just a glare or a scuff or something. Good looking out though!

The leather by it self is $1700 for single color, and $2000 for custom (dual color, or your own custom design) and then the heated and cooling is I think $1700-ish on top. Install was included in the price. I caught a Black Friday deal, and I finally got back a check for diminished value from an accident I was in less than 48 hours after I bought it, so it didn’t sting quite as bad

This is gonna sound maybe kinda dumb to some of you guys. I own a 2022 Limited CrewMax Tundra (White). It's got the Tail Gate Courtesy Release Button on the Left Side Brake Light. Anyways there have been a handful of times I wanted to drop the gate while stationary, while remaining in the running vehicle. This could be your family walking back from Home Depot with some stuff to put in the back or the no contact curbside grocery pick up, etc... the only way to do this is to try to get your hand in your pocket in the seated position (if you can) and fumble around for your key fob where you can then press and hold the tail gate release button. As I have been annoyed looking at blank button slots on the lower left dash, I decided to trace the signal wire from that tail light release button into the cab and before the relay. I isolated the correct harness and then toned the wire to confirm. I cleanly spliced a wire from behind the harness on just the one wire and ran it to the dash where I connected it to new matching switch I Purchased from Rave OffRoad. New Signal Wire to Switch, Ground to Body, 12V to Switch (This is for the LED only!) and Done! Works like a charm. Im 29 and Handicapped, the less I have to board and de-board the vehicle the better. Let me know what you guys think. If anyone wants to do the same thing I can post a guide /w pictures. Note: If you get a button from Rave OffRoad. Go with a Blank one and find a place that can laser engrave plastic. Have them put whatever you want on there, the light will shine through the engraving.

I'm happy with this rack, I've been using it for the past four years on my 2nd gen. I will say it is much easier to attach to a 2nd gen than 3rd. Because of how the underside of the bed rail is designed I had to cut out part of the rib on the underside to make my old clamps work https://rackitinc.com/products/mega-clamps. Looking online I probably could have grabbed some different clamps that would have worked without modifying the bed rails, but I had these clamps powder coated to match the rack.

As for truck color, yeah I'm a fan, my wife told me I was boring since my last Tundra was the same color.

Regular, it's looking like I'll be going with an Icon lift and might also add bags and an onboard compressor to the rear to help when hauling.

Super cool mod - would love to see pics.
Also do you have pics of the wire or at least remember the color?

Yes definitely. I’ll go get some better pictures and post them here and also message you directly. Super easy once I tracked the wire. It goes right by the panel anyhow. All you need is any switch, I like the oem ones that fit right in, and one short 22 awg wire about 2 ft. Pictures coming soon.

I too would like this. So you didn't have to run a wire all the way up and you were able to just splice in near the cab and install the button?

Added Diamondback’s lights to the underside of my bed cover one on the tailgate side and one on the cab side. Touchpads work well, and the lights have great coverage.

Exactly, Ive never heard of this being done yet and couldn't find anything on it. I examined the location and routing diagrams and then toned it to make sure. All you need is 1' ft of one wire and add a button. I got a rave off road button and opened it up to modify it so it acts as a momentary button (very important), also you don't need a fuse because its only powering 12v 100mah led for the switch. I used the Illumination 12v and Illumination Ground on the Plug not being used behind the button slot I was going to use. Then you need the Pink Signal wire which you'll have to splice off of and a wire to frame ground. Don't ground the signal wire to the illumination ground because of the Dimming feature. the ground for that actually has some voltage going through it to reduce brightness. Four Wires Total. Recap : 1 Wire Splice from Signal (1'FT ), 2 Wires Stolen from plug not being used behind blank (4" INCHES) , Add ground wire to frame (1’). I have a ton of photos on an album on my profile going through the whole process, take a look. Feel free to message me if you need help. I also put comments on some of the pictures in my album explaining things.

Project Update - Plug and Play Tailgate Safety Module in Development. This will make it very simple to install without cutting or pulling wires. Just find a ground connection point and that's it. The kit will include the two harnesses (one for the 24 pin computer that has the signal wire and a harness for the existing button wiring behind the blank to connect to and from the new button. I will also make a button for the kit too. It'll give this project more of a brain, safety compliant, and super easy to install for anyone if there is interest. If you're curious what this module will do exactly see the comment posted to the picture of this connecter...

That is actually a pretty awesome idea, good job man. I bet you could hit up Meso, Caliraised, and others to sell your kit. Or create an etsy/Amazon store.
