Yes. They will use the most cost effective parts for them. There are no laws against insurance using used/aftermarket parts

It may not be easy to fix DirtJumpers truck. Especially if it bent or messed up the steering rack and components. That stuff is not easy to fix right. JPink's DC had similar damage from hitting a deer. It now rubs even with stock(or maybe 275's) tires and he hasn't been able to use his Skid Row skid plates because the holes don't line up. It does drive fine though.

What’s the deal with fuel low light. I haven’t seen mine in years - might be burned out? Is it different bulb?

I don't remember exactly, but you can't put an LED there or it'll mess up the system. It's like it needs a certain resistance or something.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
Low Fuel is the grey one. I left it incandescent when I did my LED conversion, resistance was what I heard as well.

    20220713_182548.jpg 20220713_182156.jpg

EDIT: just watched one of the videos I saved for this job. The guys says switching the LOW FUEL with LED made it stay lit continually, so there's the reason.

I believe the bulb you listed first is for check engine/other indicator lights. I've went to the "local" pull-a-part yard and just pulled a some of the indicator lamps from a camry just to have on hand, though I think I'm out.

I run LED's on my gearshift indicators from superbright LEDs, they work well and should last.
