What’s up fellow Yota members. So has anybody found a crate that will fit in a double cab truck? I have a Viszla. I would say hes considered a large size dog. Any recommendations with links would be great! I currently use a hammock strapped onto the seats but I would rather have him in a crate for longer trips.

If you remove the seats then you'll probably be able to fit a full size crate. Get the crate inside the cab then assemble it. Could use the seat mount bolts to secure the crate too. You'd need to flatten or remove the jack mount.

another hammock style, but with seats folded up. we like the side panels it has too, it keeps the doors protected and straps up to the rear handles. works well if you still want to split the rear seats or use one portion of the rear for storage

If you want, I can get pictures here shortly when I head out for lunch.

I have the 4knines hammock, but took it down and used its straps to hold stable my ruffland kennel that holds my GWP. they make one for truck back seats.

Not cheap, but they have many options and set ups to accommodate your build. Start w/a level platform either at floor level or build something elevated w/storage underneath; then add a Vario Multicage to it... click the link then 'multicage' in the upper left pic and you'll see various specs and sizes you do....

This is a little bit different of a setup, as I was using a variocage MIM double in our 4Runner, but you can see build quality and attention to detail of the kennel (which is why they are so damn expensive but worth it)

I am still working on converting a ram style fold flat floor for the Tundra, once that is done I will be a lot happier with this configuration. Until then, the straps hold and word great. Plus he is safer in this crate than in the Hammock. I still put the hammock in when I am out in the country, but highway or in town, crate. He hates his home crate (larger version of this) but jumps in this with excitement every time.
