    Does this automatically start charging at the correct setting once it's plugged into power or do you have to press buttons to select, for example, AGM each time? In other words, does it remember your settings?

    If it is like mine (different model) the first time to attach it you need to make sure it does select the proper one and it usually does quickly and from there it has a memory of sorts of last use. I always double check each time to make sure and always works automatically.

    You plug it in after hooking up the charging cables and select the type battery you are charging (AGM, etc.) by pushing the mode button. It is all automatic from there.
