For an entire 12 months... I stuck to my principle of not modding my truck until it was paid for.
For an entire 12 months... I looked at all these cool trucks and managed to resist spending a freakin dime on mine with the exception of gas and floor mats. (no... no matter how many of you claim they are, floor mats are not a "mod")

Then you all started with your fear mongering of Pro grills becoming rare as unicorn poop... that coincided with me realizing that stock lights are just awful...

Lo and behold.. UPS boy showed up yesterday with some boxes with a pro grill in there... (thanks @Roman) and a spare set of headlights to begin my retrofit project... (thanks @Borgs )

Now i'm realizing that a superwhite grill will make my chrome bumper ends look supershite.. so the cycle begins....

So yeah... "thanks" to every last one of you...

P.S. if anyone has a spare set of chrome bumper ends that they wouldn't mind contributing to my 'experiement' let's chat...

This is a terrible forum that will make you think you're a crackhead! I just make sure to keep my bank account around $0.00 so I don't develop the itch.

I will be pulling my front bumper this weekend and it currently has chrome bumper ends. Let me know if you want them. I'll stick them in a box and send them your way.

Lol yep. Just a month ago I told my wife - "This thing is perfect. All these guys online change their grill to that one over there, but I'm glad I love the chrome." Now I am waiting for my pro grill from Roman and looking into suspension options. :)

You're gonna need some new fogs with those retros! Baja Designs makes some killers lights and SDHQ sells the brackets to fit them. If you give me your card number I can save you a step and just order them for you :D:D

The tundra is my wife's DD. At first I was like - retrofits will light up the road better and make it safer for you and the kids, its a safety issue! Then the chrome started being replaced by color match - doesn't it look so much better honey? Then last week it was the AT tires and black rims - the deal was too good to pass up honey!

I'm thinking leather heated seats next - you know for the wintertime comfort!

In all the cars I've owned in the past, I've never sunk so much money into mods.

When my wife gets aggravated by the mods, I remind her that we bought the truck to tow the camper she wanted.

I retrofitted my headlights first, and now the blacked out reflector bowls and projector shrouds match the center portion of the bumper. I decided against changing out my grill and bumper corners since it offers a bit of contrast and it doesn't look ridiculous chromey anymore (like it did with the original reflector bowls).

I, too, was planning to keep a factory truck. That didn't work out too well for me either.

I ran into a nice platinum the other day and was having a quick conversation in traffic because I noticed the TRD exhaust and sway bar. The last thing I says to him "Do yourself a favor..stay off the forums!"
